Task: Organic Restaurant Introduction The strategy in a business plan determines the levels of success in restaurants. Health life restaurant will use different corporate level strategies to enhance their profitability in the market. The strategies will focus on the customers within Los Angeles. Indeed, the restaurant manager will also consider employees in coming up with business level strategies. Furthermore, the manager will integrate and coordinate the efforts of all the stakeholders in devising concrete business strategies. According to Fullen (220), an establishment that coordinates its actions to champion performance in the market is termed as engaging in corporate level strategy. Business Level/Corporate Level Strategies As a means of gaining a competitive advantage in the market, the restaurant will employ professional nutritionists to facilitate menu planning. Apart from offering meals to the clients’, the restaurant will provide additional support services to their clients. The restaurants employees will supply nutritional information on food items delivered to their clients (Fullen 116). Health life will collaborate with health institutions in researching on the best diet to offer to the market. Additionally, the restaurant will assess the impacts that consumption of organic foods on the population. Market segmentation will equally constitute a strategy for use at health life restaurant. The restaurant will group their clients to meet the demands of special interest groups. For example, preparation of foods for vegetarians will be advantageous in catering for the special interest groups. The location of the facility in Hollywood will provides an opportunity of engaging in awareness campaigns. This will be achievable with the support of their celebrity clients who reside in Los Angeles. Operations at the restaurant will thrive because majority of the populations are aware of their nutritional needs. According to Fullen (111), employees and clients will play an integral role in influencing the choice of the corporate level strategies. The location of the restaurant will provide an opportunity to increase its publicity by targeting celebrity clients. The celebrities will assist in marketing the establishment as a restaurant that shows concern for people’s health. The restaurant will conduct operations differently from other restaurants. The management will equally focus on the needs of the market before coming up with the marketing strategies. The institution will employ analysts who will continuously monitor trends of the market before advising the management on the best methods of conducting operations. Specialization strategies will be instrumental whereby the organization will employ chefs specialized in preparing organic foods. The management will empower their employees to make decision at the departmental level (Fullen 131). In this case, they will limit bureaucracy procedures that might inhibit productivity at the organization. Empowering waiters will assist in marketing the establishment both internally and externally. The management will ensure that they employ the personnel who are qualified and competent in their areas of practice. The restaurant will also target clients of special care such as diabetics. Moreover, i they will wrap up the foodstuff in environmental friendly packages during home delivery. The restaurant will offer their products to the market at a pocket friendly price. In this case, systems will be designed to monitor the performance of the restaurant in the market and correct changes in places when necessary (Fullen 162). They will use modern facilities in preparing foodstuff to the market. Food preparation methods should not distort the nutrient composition of foods being prepared. The restaurant will put to place service recovery strategies such as compensating for customers who have not been satisfied upon consumption of a given food item. Indeed, the organization will target mostly nutritious conscious consumers. The management will be keen to purchase of food items that will be used at the restaurant. This means that leadership strategy the organization will be cutting on unnecessary costs that minimize profitability in operations (Fullen 168). Lastly, customers at the restaurant will get value for their money. Different styles of service will be used at the restaurant when providing foods to clients. As such, the focus will be on continuously improving on product quality to ensure that clients get value for their money. The uniqueness of the products on offer will increase on their demand in the market. The segmentation process in the marketplace will consider clients from different cultural backgrounds. Majority of the population in Los Angeles might prefer Mexican or Spanish cuisines. This will be prepared traditionally without any food additives. The restaurant will also focus on consumers who prefer organic foods for their diets. The restaurant will collaborate with those captaining against GMO’s to promote the sell of their products in the market. The restaurant will develop a website for marketing their products online. Indeed they will liaise with healthcare facilities in coming up with services that improve on peoples lifestyles. The restaurant has to target high-income earners residing in Hollywood. The staff will exude a sense of commitment on their duties to ensure the facility attains its intended objectives (Fullen 86). They will also use strategies similar to those used by successful restaurants that target consumers of fast foods, for example, strategies used by MacDonald food chains in cutting costs. Finally, the restaurant will chose reputable suppliers of farm produce to ensure consistency in their production. Growth Strategy (Market vs. Portfolio) The restaurant will come up with unique strategies to address customer complaints h. They will design menus that cater for different people within the population. They will seek the support of celebrities to market their products internationally. The management will use awareness campaigns in enticing the public on the consumption of organic foods. The restaurant production of food items will be health friendly (Fullen 15). Indeed they will advise their clients on the benefits of consuming organic foods as opposed to fast foods. Fruits and other foods items that are eaten raw such as salads will also be sold at the restaurant. This will enable health life restaurant tap on the market initially neglected. Besides selling foods inside the restaurant they will offer “outside catering” services to functions such as banquettes. They will market their product in places that of healthy lifestyle activities such as gymnasium and sports arenas. Los Angeles being a cosmopolitan neighborhood preference will be on preparing national cuisines of different countries using organic foods. The firm will expand their operations to other areas not exploited by restaurants in the market (Fullen 16). They will also diversify what they offer to the market. The restaurant will supply organic foods to the convenience of the loyal clients. There will be 24 hours delivery service of organic foods upon request by a client. They will sell some of their products in supermarkets and other shopping outlets. The management at health life restaurant will focus on strengthening customer retention strategies since it is a new establishment in the market (Fullen 117). At first the restaurant has to tap on the unexploited potential in the market. Afterwards they have to entice clients through their advertisement campaigns. Food will be served at the right temperatures. Basically most of the foods offered at health life will be fresh. The establishment will offer customized services to some of the repeat guests. Demographic data and other sources of information will facilitate predicting the needs of the market. The management is required to understand the preference of the market in Los Angeles. This can only be carried out through research on traditional Mexican and Spanish cuisines. In addition to marketing organic foods online, health life restaurant will advertise their products in posters and by word of mouth. Planning plays a very important role in sustaining growth in restaurants. In most cases it is the management of restaurants that undertakes this duty. Importantly there has to be analysis of the current trends in the market, such as identifying the foods preferred by the residents in Los Angeles. In enhancing growth, the restaurant will cut on labor cost in using modernized operations systems for carrying out some of the managerial duties (Fullen 2). For instance, in coordinating food preparation, systems will be put in place in altering tastes of the organic foods prepared at the restaurant. For example the restaurant can use celebrities in creating awareness to the public on the benefits of consuming organic foods the food menu will comprise mostly of foods of high nutrition content. Marketing will also take place in transportation facilities such as trains. The hotel will create new products that are simple to prepare. Employee training will be integral to ensure competency of the staff in satisfying the customer needs (Fullen 10). The hotel will liaise with recreational facilities such as the local gym in providing food items and nutritional advice to the clients of gym facilities. Indeed people engaging in recreational activities will be the target market for health life restaurant. The restaurant will come up with diet programs that can assist individuals intending to lose weight. Conclusion Health life restaurant will commit itself to their set out plans in ensuring their establishment attains its goals. Indeed the management will use a combination of approaches at the restaurant. Prior to the implementation of the plan there will be consultation of all the stakeholder of the restaurant. The restaurant will thrive because of the recent increase in demand for organic foods.
