Ideally, the skill to stick to directions at a lesson is an essential skill of learning that one has to develop. The fundamental skill is taught to students at a young age to grow them into obedient people in the future. While following directions seems like a logical and a vital cause at a lesson, there are many underlying benefits that many people are yet to discover. Well, it is important to adhere to directions for the following reasons and more: It Saves the Lives of Students Some careers and trade activities are impossible to survive in when one does not obey directions.

For instance, a career in the military base would save your life, that is, if you obey instructions. Ideally, the nature of such a job may cripple one with fear, following the risks involved. Similarly, one may develop an indecisive mind or fail to read clearly. As such, the ability to adhere to set instructions instinctively would save one's life. Moreover, it takes training and ultimate discipline. Adherence to Directions for the Safety of a Product One would agree that failure to obey instructions would more likely lead to accidents, injuries, or even worse, death.

For instance, take a case of a medication or prescription from a doctor. Directions to read are given on the package to avoid overdoses or poisoning in worse scenarios. In short, you are given instructions to read on what can kill you and how you can prevent it. It Enhances Education among Students Many at times, students are taught to obey instructions for their academic betterment. Primarily, it enhances their writing and learning in performing various skills efficiently and accurately. Failure to adhere to instructions at a lesson often diverts teachers' attention to other factors that would fix the problem.

In the end, they end up wasting time that would have been spent on educating the students by writing more. It Promotes Efficiency The aspect of efficiency is seen in several instances in life. For example, you'll be required to fill in a form at some point in your lifetime. It may be, for example, writing a tax form or a loan application form. Filling in the correct details as instructed would facilitate the processing of your results for your good. Other than the two, several different facets in this modern life would cost you to incur losses or penalties.

A good case is a failure to pay taxes or failure to file tax returns as required. Following Instructions Give You Direction Another apparent reason for following instructions is to maintain the right course. For instance, students tend to stray away from the main course. It may be because of a distraction that would have been avoided when they read instructions. Another sense of direction is when navigating around a course that students can easily get lost. In short, students obey instructions given to manage time and avoid getting into trouble as well.
