Factors that induce the development of cancer are commonly known as carcinogens. Doctors usually advise people to check to visit medical facilities regularly for check ups. Breast cancer is usually diagnosed by carrying out pap smear tests. Such tests normally aim to detect abnormal cells from normal cells. According to Loomis and Layes (1996) there are mainly three major stage.s that usually in the development of cancer. These stages are identified as initiation, promotion as well as progression.

The first stage in the initiation of cancer begins with the permanent change or mutation in the genetic material, DNA, of a cell. This change sets the commencement of rapid cell division, a process that tends to continue indefinitely. The changes
