DB 3 – Biology Biotechnology is responsible for hundreds of benefits to my life however; most notably ones that have improved my life are vaccines, bioremediation and transgenic plants and animals. For instance, vaccines developed through biotechnology has helped me leave safer and hopeful of achieving more in life like being free from polio, liver diseases among others. I don’t have any issue with most biotechnology as the benefits it has out ways the disadvantages hence it ability to improve life.

In addition, unlike before 1982 where a lot of advances had not been made in Biotechnology, today individuals can leave better in a society of controlled diseases and enough food production. Despite advancement in biotechnology, I am of the opinion that clone plants and animals are not one of my best alternatives when it comes to food source. I enjoy many healthy and natural foods. I also believe that there is much difference between clone and “normal” animals. One reason is on the chemical composition of clones.

The animals are subjected to quick, and their genetic and biological compositions are altered. In all ways, “normal” animals are far better nutritionally than cloned animals. I don’t feel okay eating clone animals despite the worldwide support or advocacy. My opinion of clone plants is similar since the genetic orientation is analogous to that of animals. My opinion and dislike of cloned organisms is based on my believe that it will in future distort my health and too due to my love for naturally grown foods.
