E-Business Plan Outline 1. Executive Summary: This section will present a quick but comprehensive overview of the complete business plan. By going through the executive summary the readers will be able to get complete idea of the whole E-business plan. Executive summary is the best way to get an understanding of the whole business plan without going through the complete document. 2. Company Description: In this section a complete description of the company will be presented. This section of the E-business plan will contains all details about the company, it product, its operation, and other important information about the company. The section about the company description will allow the readers to understand the business of the company ‘TOP Shelf Marketing’, which is a marketing company. Company description will make it easier for the readers to relate with the E-business plan and comprehend the important strategies and plan. 3. Marketing Plan: The marketing plan will outline important marketing and promotion strategies. Along with this, the section on marketing plan will include the important details and characteristics of the target market of the company. Marketing mix i.e. four P’s of the marketing; product, place, price, promotion, will also be included in the marketing plan. In this section all promotional strategies will be outlined and explained, including both online and offline marketing and promotional strategies. Marketing plan will also outline important strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. a. Target Market: Target market is that segment of market which is believed to be the potential customers of the company. In this section the target market will be defined on the basis of demographics, psychographics, and other important parameters. b. Marketing Mix: the marketing mix will outline the main characteristics of the product along with the prices offered. Also, this section will outline the important promotional strategies along with the positioning strategy of the company. Lastly, this section will present strategies about the location and distribution of the products. c. Online Strategies: in this section the online marketing and promotional strategies will be outlined and analyzed. d. Offline Strategies: in this section the offline marketing and promotional strategies in order to promote the business, will be presented. e. SWOT Analysis: this section will consist of audit of internal and external environment of the company, this in turn will result in the generation of important strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the company. The SWOT analysis will help in the generation of important strategies and plans for the growth and development of the E-business. 4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Plan: Customers are the most important element of any business. The success and growth of any business is directly dependent on the customers. For this purpose, it is important to devise and implement effective and efficient customer relationship management system. In Customer Relationship Management plan section, proposed strategy for the customer services and customer relationship management system will be presented, keeping in view the demands of the customers and the competencies of the company. 5. Architecture Plan: The success of any online business is directly dependent on the website and the related infrastructure. In this section of the business plan, important points and elements associated with the architecture of the online and electronic business will be presented and analyzed. a. Infrastructure Needs: in this section all needs and requirements of the infrastructure will be outlined and explained. b. Infrastructure Sources: in this section the sources and platforms for the infrastructure and information architecture will be explained. 6. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Plan: In order to make sure that there is integration in all departments and operations of business, there should be appropriate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In this section of the business plan, the details and elements about the Enterprise Resource Planning strategy and plan will be outlined and discussed. 7. Supply Chain Management (SCM) Plan: For any business, either online or offline, one of the most important elements is the supply chain management. With the help of well planned supply chain, company is able to reach its customers and quickly and fulfill their needs and requirements. In this section, the supply chain strategy of the company will be presented along with the costs associated with it and relationships with the suppliers and other supply chain partners. a. Responsiveness versus Cost Efficiency: in this section, the strategy of the supply chain will be outlined i.e. whether the supply chain will be responsive or cost efficient. b. Matching Supply Chain Strategy with Competitive Strategy: in this section, strategies will be outlined in order to match the supply chain strategy with the competitive strategy of the company. c. Cost Savings: this section will consists details about different methods and strategies for reducing the overall cost associated with supply chain management. d. Relationships with important Suppliers: this section will outline important strategies for maintaining healthy and fruitful relationships with suppliers and other supply chain partners. 8. Competitive Tracking Section: In order to make sure that the company is able to create a competitive edge in the market, it is important to track the activities of the competitors. In this section of the business plan, important strategies for tracking the performance and activities of the competitors will be outlined. Along with the strategy of benchmarking the top performers in the industry. a. Tracking the Competition: this section will include strategies about tracking the competitors in the industry. For this purpose, the plan will outline the different intelligence tools used for this along with maintenance of data and recordkeeping. i. Competitive Intelligence: this section will consists of important competitive intelligence strategies which will be implemented by the business. ii. Intelligence Tools: this section will outline and analyze important intelligence tools which will be used by the company for tracking the activities of the competitors. iii. Evaluation and Recordkeeping: this section will present the strategies and plans for evaluating the important data and information and maintaining database. b.
