Effective Leadership Effective Leadership The most interesting it of the article is that leaders are expected to inspirepeople- their followers as well as motivate them to achieve more in their work. As argued by Kotelnikov (2004), effective leaders can only inspire people only if they share a vision with the followers. In this instance, it will be achievable for them to ensure that the followers can attain much more than they expected. This also relates to the fact that persons can only change only if are emotionally engaged in their place of work.

The followers also need to have a sense of commitment to their job, if the organization has to succeed. The author also argues that for people to be motivated, it is the role of the leader to ensure that they have a captivating vision (Kotelnikov, 2004). This means that the leaders have to walk their talk and actually relate to what they say in their actions. This is what the writer relates to as shared vision. The leader must also inspire the followers to act towards the vision proposed in the workplace (Kotelnikov, 2004).

In this case, the leader must ensure that ensure that the followers in the organization understand the reasons behind their working towards them proposed vision. This can be done by making the place of work the most interesting place ever so as to motivate the workers to their job. This also relates to French’s (2011) research that indicates that leaders are mentors and coaches. ReferencesFrench, R. (2011). Organizational Behaviour. NY: John Wiley & SonsKotelnikov, V. (2004). Effective Leadership.
