Task Diversity Audit Introduction The high demand of different commodities by consumers has precipitated the rise of organizations. Individuals and states have emerged to create both public and personal organizations; as a result, the organization applies various strategies to compete in the highly competitive markets. This unit examines a newly created organization and the effects of application of diversity audit on its operations. Creating an Organization A thriving organization ought to be effectual and well-organized in its operations. An effectual organization should be unique and should take into deliberation its staff and clients needs. A good example of a business organization is the bread baking industry. The organization takes into deliberation of its client’s satisfaction, as a result, serves both its interests and the community’s interests (Collins, Denis, 153). Company’s Background and History on One Page The bread baking organization has been in operation for the last two years. The company has organization chart, which governs the daily running of behavior inside the organization. The chart is prearranged according to the flow of authority within the company. The person at the top of the company is the boss followed by the assistant boss. Third in the position are the departmental managers, and lastly are the employees. The company was started because of the high demand that was prevalent in society (Collins, 231). The manager He or she is the individual who supervise the day by day running of the organization. He makes all the judgments pertaining to the daily running of the organization. His functions include delegation of the responsibility among the employees, supervising the other junior managers and responding directly to the proprietors of the business. The bread organization has one manager. The assistant boss He or she is the second person in rank in the organization. He or she is answerable to the manager. His functions are to take over the manager’ responsibility in his nonattendance, and direct and guide other junior managers. The company has employed two aide managers. Departmental managers They are individuals who manage various sections in the company. The section includes the ‘sales and marketing’ sector responsible for advertising of the company’s products like breads. Their roles include coordinating the activities within the company to yield the maximum profits. Workers They are individuals the company employs to aid in the production process. They possess unique skills because of working in a range of departments with dissimilar task to perform. The company has engaged a total of two hundred employees. Conducting a Diversity Audit on the Organization The company’s objective is to satisfy the clients need while maximizing the company’s profits. The organization’s objectives are achievable only when the company’s aspects are reviewed to examine the effective ones from the non-effective ones, as a consequence there is a need to carry a diversity audit on the company. Evaluation and Recommendations for the Organization In Terms Of the Diversity Audit The diversity facilitates evaluation of the company’s merits and demerits. It assesses the company’s procedures, strategies and administration to determine areas where to review to lead to a positive change in the company. The evaluation of the company’s workers is that they are not properly aggravated; as a result, they do not give the company their bests. Secondly the policies of the business do not cater for the employees entire requirements. The promotion criterion in the strategies does not consider the firms employees, since there are no set criteria in the firm for promoting the employees. Lastly, the diversity audits conducted on the management showed the management was not contended with their basic wages, as a result, there did not effectively supervise the firm’s daily operations. After the diversity audit, there are a variety of proposals implemented to make changes that will lead the organization to achieve its stated objectives. The audit conducted on the company enables the organization to take beneficial actions without wasting too much of the company resources like time and capital. Fair promotional rules should be put across to endorse the company’s employees according to their recital. This will hearten the workers to work hard in the organization to be promoted. Secondly, the company’s policies should cater for the employee’s requirements like granting them leaves and availing recreational activities within the company’s environs. This will inspire the workers to put effort in their jobs leading to an increase in output. Lastly, the salaries of the administration should be reviewed, since a slight review of their salaries will lead to an augment their recital in the company (Robbins, 37). Criteria for Managing Diversity Audit on the Organization The company requires a triumphant diversity audit to make the running of the organization easy. The organization should pursue the following criteria in administering a reliable diversity audit (Robbins, Aletta & Roodt, 31). The criteria to be followed are; Obtaining visible management audit The company requires the top management support to succeed in all its ventures. The administrators should be accurately trained on effective ways of increasing the company’s variety audit to maximize on the firms profits. Identification The company’s need should be accurately identified to through various techniques done by the company. The organization ought to be able to identify and describe the various wants of its personnel using the diversity audit. Integration of the business strategy The diversity audit management should be incorporated as a technique used in enhancing the company’s operations. The company should provide a favorable environment for the execution of both its strategies and the audits policy. Support structures The organization should establish a sustaining diversity audit policy to aid in the implementations of the techniques. The support structure would include persons whose responsibility is to key in finding areas in the institute that requires a change. Balancing objectives approach The organization ought to balance all aspects of the diversity audit to lead to triumphant functioning of the company. It ought not to strengthen conventional biases within the organization. Monitoring and evaluation The diversity audit strategy should be accurately observed and assessed to find the cons and pros of the techniques. The evaluation would prevent shortcomings that the organization would have faced, as a result, of poorly applied audit. Comparison of the Firm against the Established Diversity Criteria The diversity audit strategies applied by the organization on it daily operations of the firms is comparable to the established diversity criteria, since the company’s management is run by rules and regulation governing both employees and managements behaviors. Secondly the organization has support structure inform of administrators who monitor the company’s progress and report to the management sectors where changes are to make. Lastly, the organization management has put in place policies to use in assessing the diversity technique (Gardenswartz & Anita, 9). ‘Strengths’ and ‘Weaknesses’ of the Organizations Initiative The organization has its strengths on the application of the diversity audit policies, since it applies it effectively to maximize their profits and win their clients trusts in buying their bread. Contrary to its strength the company’s weaknesses is that it lacks enough funds to run an effectual audit system, since it can not afford the machinery to put the technique into practice (Daft, 112). Conclusion Conclusively, an organization that is new in the market requires sound strategies to lead to its triumphant operations. The bread baking organization is new in the market, and the application of the diversity audit program in its running will significantly boost its profits.
