Some of the variables such as those are related to malnutrition and other cases like age and birth order since they are correlational. They require correlational evidence to be proven scientifically. Correlation is also very important in statistics since it helps us so much to make predictions when one can understand the score of something one can predict more accurately the next score having a basis on correlation.

Under controlled experimental conditions the evidence that has been gotten from studies that have used correlation can be able to test the evidence. Correlation is a very good method and by the use of its designs appropriately causal inferences are limited. It is cheaper when using some of the correlations. Most of the methods used in correlation are not expensive. It is very fast and cheap and also easy to apply. It helps the researchers to collect data in a very short time. Correlation is very effective (Thomas, 1994).
