Operations and Enterprise Resource Planning Kids in Asia, is a global charity working with associates from twenty-four s. The charity organization usually collaborates with more than three thousand community factions who are familiar with issues affecting children. Their key approach is to gain understanding of the precise challenges facing the children in any given region and implementing support aimed at meeting their various needs. Similar to other charity organizations, Kids in Asia, has a set of objectives. They consist of contributing towards establishing a society that is free from poverty, diseases, and free to thrive. In the present day organization, SAP has taken the centre stage in the current technology revolution and the development of innovations. That is essential in aiding various beneficiaries to run at their best, as well as, improving the lives of individuals all over. This has been through the incorporation of separate systems to be in charge of core business wishes. Therefore, SAP R/3 and SAP ERP are completely integrated synchronized business systems that enable Kids in Asia charity organization, eliminate inconsistencies in sub-systems. With regard to this charity organization, SAP will enhance insight and productivity. Under improving productivity, data inputs are done once; there will be a lack of sub-systems necessary for verifying and consolidating, and data sharing in the organization will be easy through emails and internal messages. Next, the SAP system will significantly reduce risks since it has been successful with a number of organizations. Subsequently, SAP will minimize costs through increasing productivity. As a means of improving efficiency, process standardization, and adaptability, SAP broadens its business eco-system through extrapolating collaborative, information, and transaction functions. Finally, SAP will enable alignment of operations and strategies. Reason being, prior to the adoption of SAP, a vigorous analysis occurs to rectify any possible complications (Benefit of Using SAP for your Business , 2012). Supply Chain Management There are different reasons for the existence of the need to improve any given supply chain. However, a stiff integration among the suppliers can only improve the general success of a given organization that is majorly dependent on excellent services to its beneficiaries. The use of supply chain management by the Kids of Asia charity organization will be essential in managing the provision of the greatly needed aid to the needy kids. Supply Chain Management of Sap is likely to enable the given organization to ensure that they are able to meet the needs of the kids fully all over Asia looking up to them. In the case of this organization supply, chain management will work correctly on a trusted ERP. Furthermore, the biggest improvement can be realized when Kids in Asia organization relies on the exchange of information amongst the management team of the organization and the suppliers. For instance, contribution packages could be provided to various contributors. Consequently, provisions such as the dashboard will be essential in providing insightful reports across the organization on timely and accurate data. Furthermore, the system will enable the organization to manage distributions and keep an account of donations from all over the world (Role of SAP in supply chain management, 2012). The process by SAP in the supply chain will involve the quotation of the donations, extracting information about the donors to the distribution amongst the needy children. Consequently, this software will make it possible to conquer challenges of more multifaceted supply network and demand for various needs. Reason being, the software will enable easy management of the whole supply network with great ease. Therefore, one can quickly get the necessary analysis of information to meet the prospects for responsiveness and smooth the progress of collaboration among different departments (Role of SAP in supply chain management, 2012). Marketing The marketing software for SAP is intended to aid the given organization in managing their entire marketing resources in a single location. One of the key features of this software is that it possesses a personalized calendar that keeps a record of all the present companies marketing campaign. Furthermore, it allows the organizations analyst to compare two different campaigns in a single platform at the same time. The software will enable the firm to monitor its various donors, who have played a vital role in supporting the goals of the charity organization. In addition, it allows a proper evaluation of the effective marketing strategies by having an oversight on the history of donors (Morley, 2010). Financial Close and Accounting This application provides faster financial and accounting processes, through audit trail thus increasing confidence in the process, improved efficiency as well as transparency in the accounting and accounting processes. All these work towards creating an organization that has an organized financial system. As such, there is ease of financial information access, well-nurtured relationship between the organization and the donors, low costs and reduced workloads and more time is available for any other value-added examination (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). The SAP application for financial close and accounting comes with various helpful technologies. For effective financial management, these modern technologies eases the work and accelerates access to information as well as improving efficiency of data delivery and information sharing (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). For our organization, Kids in Asia, these technologies will be beneficial for the organization in its financial and accounting processes. These technologies include: SAP HANIA: This technology enables professionals to analyze and report huge volumes of data related to finance, and even those that are non-financial. For an organization that is involved in high financial transactions, this technology is of crucial importance since financial data requires accuracy (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). Analytics: SAP applications offer in-depth analysis of data. As a data analyst, you are required to present the outcome, as well as the cause. Sap applications support this task as well. Thus, it can be of value to the Kids in Asia organization in its work. Financial data as well as other non-financial data analysis, will be reliable and efficient since our charity organization has to present its data in a way that it encourages donors and well-wishers (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). Mobile: SAP software has a technology that enables users or professionals to access financial information in safe and efficient manner and respond to any emerging issue in time and a professional way. These technologies can improve decision-making as well (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). Cloud: Software incorporated with cloud technology enables organizations to combine technology with its processes of data management. This ensures low-risk arrangements that minimize IT usage thus ensuring long-term efficiency (Solutions in detail: Finance: Accounting and financial close, 2013). Recommendation After a thorough review of the three SAP applications, the Financial Management package is arguably the most powerful among them. As such, the Kids in Asia, which is a charity organization, requires such a tool for its financial and accounting management. This is the most suitable application for our organization due to its various technologies that accompany it. Justification For our organization, the SAP application for supply chain management would not be recommendable since it involves high costs of purchase. A charity organization will not want to spend a lot in buying its equipment hence a close comparison of these is required when undertaking this exercise. Furthermore, this software may be inflexible since it may not fit our organization’s business model, and it can be very expensive customizing it (Nehal, 2010).
