Project Management: Africa School Assistance Project - Essay Example

The vision of ASAP entails; realizing a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable Africa, through high-quality education. The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of public education in East Africa.

            In order to achieve its mission and objectives, and work towards realizing the vision, the company has adopted effective strategies. The strategies entail seeking the expertise of full-time and volunteer staff and financial support from international donors. The financial support has enabled ASAP to partner with the community to build schools; for instance, Miririni Secondary School and Chole Primary School. The volunteer program enables groups of Americans to visit during the summer and assist in building or renovating a school in rural Africa.

            ASAP has partnered with several international partners, to ensure the success of its quality education activities. The organization is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. The project used the Millennium Development goals as a guideline, and also a benchmark for monitoring and evaluation exercises.
