Experts who have done detailed research on the relevant topics providing well-detailed information on the same write the original experts. Popular resources are glossy and conspicuous in terms of image and design to attract people. On the other hand, scholarly resources are often simple well-detailed and often-in black and white. Some of the popular resources include newspapers and not forgetting various sites composing of mere analysis of various scholarly resources (Bombaro, 2002). Journals are example of original work of inquiry in form of scholarly resources.

The purpose of popular sources is to create awareness inform of news, entertain and provide general information with the aim of making profits or because of compassion. This creates a major difference between scholarly and popular resources as scholarly resources intend to expand knowledge. . The site contains information on all topics giving links, sources and at times little information. Management for instance has a plagiarized definition not having a primary account of original findings. When compared to other sources such as Harvard review, which provide information on the same, Wikipedia proves to be a non reliable source of information (Van Rys, Meyer & Sebranek, 2011).

This is because it provides information based on idea and perception. Consequently, it has little information on sources of its information mainly citing from nonexistent sources. In as much as, it has relevant information, it is important to note that it is a representation of personal findings and opinions, which get subjected to alteration (Bombaro, 2002). The authenticity of any source gets judged by a comparison of information from different sites. Original information appears in all scholarly sources; however, popular resources get characterized by intermittent and manipulated information.

It is based on this regards that people are able to identify real from manipulated information when conducting research. This helps in coming up with well-detailed information having reliable sources. This, therefore, proves scholarly resources to be the best while conducting research as opposed to popular resources, which also relays information. References Bombaro, C.
