They play a vital role in growth and development of a company. The small restaurant Bonds’ focuses on various issues which motivate its employees for delivering good performance. The company implemented various motivational techniques which created a positive impact on firm’s productivity. When an employee gets proper motivation then he gets influenced to work for the growth and development of the company. As a result the restaurant company is able to develop effective strategies for its success. Research paper & reasons for selecting research paper The research paper is “The Impact of Employee Motivation on Organizational Performance”. There are mainly two reasons for selecting this research paper. The impact of motivation on employees and organizational performance are analyzed in this research paper. Various comprehensive approaches are highlighted here. Another reason for selecting this research paper is to examine the relation between firm’s performance and motivation of the employees. Intensive research has been done here for evaluating the topic of the paper. This information gathered from this research paper shows the contribution of motivational on the productivity of the company (U.S, 2013). Structure of the report This research paper is divided into five parts. In the 1st part the topic of the research paper is introduced and along with that the reasons for conducting the report is mentioned. In the second part views of various authors are highlighted. Methodology of the paper has been reviewed here. The importance of the research method has been addressed in the paper (Daniels, 2006). Summary of purpose, rationale, related literature Purpose The purposes of this report have been clearly highlighted in this research paper. Various causes for employee motivation have been focused properly in this research paper. The researchers have used some theories by which they supported the purpose of the researcher paper (Blyton and Turnbull, 2004). Employee motivation has a strong relationship with organizational performance. As per the purposes of research paper the detailed analysis of the topic has been done. The organization considers its employees as its important part. Therefore with the help of this study the researchers efficiently focus on the relationship of organizational members within the company (Harzing and Pinnington, 2011). Clarity of research question The research questions which were used by the researchers are very clearly explained in this paper. The questions highlight the impact of employee motivation on organizational performance. The main purpose of the research question is clearly stated in the paper. For making the research question proper and clear the researchers have broken the research questions into various parts (Gold and Holden, 2013). With the help of those research questions the researchers were able to analyze the topic in an effective way. In the entire research question the researchers have highlighted the topic they have considered or incorporated within the research paper. Various sources are provided by them for supporting their work. By this process they facilitated the readers in understanding the purpose and the concept of the research. Along with the research question the researchers have mentioned their research hypotheses. It helped the readers to know and understand the criteria on the basis of which the researchers have developed this paper. The hypothesis of the paper highlighted different sides of the topic. The research question gives an idea that the paper will cover the various issues related to employee motivation which influence firm performance (Armstrong, 2007). Conceptual foundation The researchers of MUOGBO U.S. critically analyzed the impact of motivation on organizational performance and productivity. They have cited the examples of views and opinions of many authors and researchers while conducting this research. MUOGBO U.S gave a clear definition regarding the meaning and definition of motivation. It has explained how motivation affects the behaviour and decision making process of the organizational members. The concept of resource based theory has been highlighted in this paper for analyzing its importance for enhancing performance. The organization MUOGBO U.S has clearly explained that individual employees must be satisfied by the company for getting good performance from them (Armstrong, 2009). The researchers have explained that various motivational tools play a vital role in energizing and encouraging employees for achieving their targets. Strategies of employee motivation have been clearly described in this paper. By this process the readers are able to know about the views and opinions of different authors regarding motivational strategies. Various factors which affect the motivational level of the employees are discussed properly in the research paper. Money, salary or wages play a vital role in motivating employees. For this reason, in the research paper financial rewards were considered as vital thing in motivating employees. The researchers have properly highlighted the effectiveness of the organization in encouraging and supporting employees for improving the productivity of the company (Armstrong and Brown, 2006). The researchers considered organizational effectiveness towards employee motivation as an important pillar for improving the performance of the company. But they have not clearly explained the strategies the companies should take for influencing the employees in delivering best performance. They have only mentioned the definition of organizational effectiveness and the aims of the companies for running their business effectively. A company needs to consider many things for motivating all of its employees (Sparrow, Harris and Brewster, 2004). The needs, wants and mind set of the employees differ from each other. So the researchers explained that every company must understand the requirements of its employees properly before developing motivational strategies for them. To a large extent the researchers are able to establish the fact that employee motivation has a strong relationship with organizational performance. The theories considered by the researchers in the paper lack detailed explanations. For this reason the readers sometimes face difficulties in understanding the relationship of the theories with the research topic. Harvard referencing style was used in the research paper (Sole and Edmondson, 2002). All the references are properly in-texted within the paper. Research methodology and design The researchers have followed quantitative and qualitative research methodologies for gathering data about employee motivation and its relationship with firm’s performance. These deductive approaches helped the researchers to understand the importance of theories and field researches on this particular topic (Schneider, 2007). A survey was conducted by the researchers for collecting the views and opinions of different people. A questionnaire was formed by them which facilitated them in collecting data from different individuals. The aim of the researchers was to understand the contribution and impact of employee motivation on company’s growth and development. For this reason they designed and developed the research methodology in such a way which benefited them in gathering accurate data (Price, 2011). Describe and evaluate methodology The methodology selected for the research paper was very much appropriate. With the help of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies the researchers were able to understand the topic properly. This facilitated them in analyzing various data and deriving correct inference from them. Detail and factual information has been collected by the researchers. Hypotheses testing used in the research method benefited the researchers in producing statistical data (Polzer et al, 2002). Research site The entire research was conducted in Anambra state of Nigeria. This research site was appropriate for the researchers in conducting the research successfully. This survey helped them to have a proper idea about relationship of motivation with the growth of the firm and the contribution of senior managers in motivating the employees (Morgeson et all, 2005). The senior managers of those manufacturing firms have huge contribution in influencing the employees and increasing the productivity of the companies. In the research paper it has been highlighted that the managers of many manufacturing companies think that employee motivation do not really contribute in enhancing organizational performance but some of the senior managers consider this as an important part of for the growth and development of the company (Moon, 2013). Methods of data collection The data or information of the research paper was mainly collected by conducting a survey. The senior managers of manufacturing firms were asked many questions related to the research topic. The questionnaire survey facilitated the researchers in analyzing the views and opinions of senior managers. The questionnaire comprised of several structured questions which were very much flexible. As a result the senior managers felt comfortable to answer those questions. In four sections the questionnaire was divided. Different sections highlighted different things which were very closely associated with the research topic (Mondy, 2008). Clustered sampling helped the researchers in selecting appropriate persons for the survey. Method of data analysis The researchers used hypotheses testing for analyzing data. By this process the researchers were able to derive accurate information regarding the research topic. This testing method facilitates the researchers in analyzing organizational performance and employee motivation. The researchers have taken three variables for analyzing the research data. SPSS software was used by them for inferring proper conclusion (Yin, 2013). All the data are clearly explained in the research paper with the help of those research techniques. Sample size Cluster sample was used by the researchers for conduction the research. This sample was used to understand the response of senior managers. The total sample size was 103 staffs. All of those staffs belonged from selected manufacturing companies which have their business in Nigeria. With the help of this sample the researchers were able to conduct their research successfully. The number of people involved in the research was moderate. This helped the researchers in conducting the entire research peacefully (Oliver, 2010). By interviewing all those people the researchers got proper idea about the impact of employee motivation on company’s performance. Ethical issues identified by the study In the research paper ethical issues have not been considered properly. For conducting the survey, researchers only highlighted various motivational factors or issues which were considered as important thing for the research. The questions asked by the researchers were simple but those facilitated the researchers to understand the thoughts of the senior managers (Goodwin, 2009). The reviewers inferred various ethical things from their research study. How the design could be used to address your own research This research design is very much helpful for conducting different other researches. This research methodology incorporates both qualitative and quantitative research. Therefore with the help of both these kind of research methodology, data will be collected accurately and the research report will become perfect. This methodology can be applicable easily in any other research topic (Akkermans, et all, 2014).Collection of field data will facilitate the reviewers in understanding impression or idea of the people regarding the research topic. It highlighted the relationship of the employees with the organizations holding managerial position. In this study the entire research methodology has been described which played an important role in collecting data and information. This paper also explains whether ethical issues were considered or not in the research paper. Sample size of the research has been mention here. The senior managers involved in the research, gave various important information which helped the researchers in analyzing the topic properly.
