Problem Solving - Academic Performance - Essay Example

My problem concerns poor academic performance. This is largely associated with my performance last term, which was below average. I performed dismally in almost all subjects, which was all to my disappointment. This term, I am determined to find an effective solution to this problem.
My overall initial plan is to investigate the major root course of the problem. I will focus on comparing my performance to that of the overall best student. I will review my study plan and culture to determine the possible deficiencies that may be present. I will also consult with my teachers for every subject to get an opinion from them on my performance and what may have been the possible causes.

Thirdly, I will analyze my options. Among the possible solutions would be borrowing some reading strategies from those of the best students, setting out a new timetable, improving the time spent on personal or private studies, especially in the library, and focusing more on consulting with my teachers on those particular academic areas that I do not understand well.
My main focus would be to implement these strategies to my level best. Committing to them will at least have some impact on my academic performance, which will largely determine the last stage of problem-solving.
