According to prior research, absence of the proper functioning of excipients leads to no processing of medicines on industrial scale.3 Studies advanced in this field have shown that having no proper functioning excipients makes excipients fail to disintegrate rapidly, not to have adequate release of the drug, to be chemically or physically unstable, and not to target the excipients’ active ingredients to the action site.

On the contrary, when the dose is small increased excipients may be required in order to avoid increasing the size of the tablet which could make the tablet to be hard swallowing.
