My Homegrown Love Affair with Food Full name University name Food is a basic need to all living things and therefore people are naturally drawn to it. However, for me, my relationship with food is quite extraordinary in the sense that I have formed a love affair with it early on…

Introduction

I could say Italians are real food-lovers and so they raise their own crops, choosing the ones which are most important in their cooking. Early in my life, I have learned to indulge in home-grown foods. The words, “Home-grown vegetables are the most delicious in the world”, have become a cliche for me because they were my grandmother’s daily verse. As a result, I have grown to consider home-grown vegetables as the very heart of every meal. I do not consider eating as a lively activity when there is no green thing on the table. Without the colorful vegetables that make the poultry attractive, the blood in my home-grown relationship with food is quite drained. I guess I could say that my romance with food is like tomatoes. It is very attractive. With the red color, it expresses its passion for me as much as I do for it. It is as juicy as my early romance with food in my hometown in Italy. For the first seven years in my life, I have smelled and appreciated food even before I knew anything about it. It did not simply sustain me to live and be healthy. Rather, food gave meaning to my life. I could say that just like the tomatoes, my first seven years of romance with food has been the juicy stuff. ...

Recollection of the Routine of Food
In my household, food was never a focal part of the family structure that involved a collaborative dining session much like those often illustrated from typical 1950’s-variety family structures. A Favorite Pet
I hastily made my way through the dark to get to the light switch. OUCH. I bumped into the hardwood couch. Swearing, I got up and stepped on something unusually soft. Now terrified, I reached for the light switch. In the pitch…

In fact, the world we live in requires some initiative. The more problems we get, the more complacent we become (Jouzel.et al,.1987). There is no way that this is a good thing. First of all, we inherited a good-to-do world from our parents. It…

My goals in life
The difference between these two types of goals is; short term goals are meant to be achieved in the near future, i.e. a couple of weeks or months, while the long term goals are spread over a number of years. The long term goals are usually the most important but they can pose a challenge in that one tends to lose focus if they do not keep themselves motivated. Having goals gives one a sense of…

Suddenly, John’s daughter entered and handed over a certificate to him. He asked, “From where did you get this certificate?” “I got it from the old shelf”, she answered. John returned the certificate and answered to his daughter, “This certifies that your father was a scapegoat of his father’s decision, nothing special. But ask your mother to keep it safe.” Then he asked his wife…
