The United Kingdom arguably has some of the best health policies globally. The inception of managed health care has made access to health services cheaper and better. Managed health care is a mechanism of payment in which patients subscribe to health policies and the policy providers thereafter settle the hospitals bills in the event of a sickness. Sollecito & Johnson (2013) assert that this type of payment makes it easier for a bigger percentage of the population to afford high quality health care services thus improving the quality of life of a population in a country. This further results in low morbidity and a low mortality rate thus allowing more people to grow to such ages as above fifty five. The good quality of life and the low mortality rate is further contributed to by the stability of the economy. The United Kingdom is a stable economy in the larger European region. This implies that the country easily finds jobs for its population making everyone afford the basic necessities of a quality lifestyle (Sollecito & Johnson, 2013). ...
