Printed fabric technique or art has been used for designing clothes. This technique or art is recognized as a creative process, which recently gain the popularity within the modern fashion industry. There are numerous innovations those has been made in the interior decorations such as carpet designing, curtains designing as well as several other clothing fields by utilizing textiles designing. Currently, textile-designing clothing is gaining huge popularity among people throughout the world. Besides, textile designing is noted as one of the most important job role for a fashion designer, as it require higher level of creativity as well as specialist skills (Djeli & Ainamo, 1999). Currently, with the advent of globalization in business domain, it has also influenced fashion industry to adopt various changes in the fashion line. People belonging to different age groups have varied and dynamic preferences regarding apparels, which need to be satisfied by the modern fashion industry. Besides, the recent changes in the clothing style have also influenced the fashion industry to apply new techniques for meeting the current requirements of designer clothes. Therefore, in the global retail industry, the demands for creative designer has also been raising in a rapid manner (Cunningham, 2002). The prime objective of this paper is to provide a brief background about Haider Ackermann as a famous fashion designer. Besides, the study also reveals about the reputation as well as brand value of Haider Ackermann within the fashion industry. Moreover, this paper also made an analysis of the constructed textiles that has been used by the designers for designing their garment collection. Haider Ackermann Haider Ackermann is a well-known fashion designer. Haider Ackermann is a specialist designer, who designs clothing considering the recent market demands of ready-to wear cloths. Recently, the increasing demand of the creative clothing has influenced Ackermann to launch a new trend of creative designing. This has also influenced him to pay more focus towards enhancing his skills in textile designing, which is highly required for creative clothing segment. Currently, Ackermann is categorized under the group of famous fashion designers, who mainly designs the creative garments considering the current market trend of the fashion industry. Ackermann has shown his efficiency in designing creative garments by including modern touch in it, which is significantly appreciated by several people of different age groups (New York Media LLC, 2015). Haider Ackermann was born in the year of 1971 in Columbia in a relatively poor family. Later at age of nine months, he was adopted by a French family, and correspondingly, travelled countries such as Algeria, Chad, Netherland, and Ethiopia. He was highly motivated and influenced by the designs of Yves Saint Laurent and decided to be a fashion designer in future. In the year of 1994, he moved to Belgium for perusing his career in the field of fashion industry, where he took admission in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. In the early stage of his life, he worked in several famous fashion brands such as Bernhard Willhelm, Mayerline and Patrick Van Ommeslaeghe as a fashion designer. He perused his five months internship programs under the famous fashion designer John Galliano. Besides, he also provided assistance to his teacher Wim Neels, who is a famous Belgian designer (TITEL Media UG, 2015). In the year of 2001, Ackermann has launched his first collection of fashion wear during the Paris Fashion Week by designing new collection to women wear. After obtaining success in the Paris Fashion Week in 2001, he has also expanded his product line in the creative designing domain. Moreover, he has also received several appreciations for his new collection in 2002, which has been able to attract the giant leather fashion house name Ruffo for designing its upcoming collection of the year 2003 (New York Media LLC, 2015). In the year 2004, Haider Ackermann has been able to gain huge success in his life. For instance, in the year 2004 Ackermann has received Swiss Textile Award for his epoch making performance in the field of creative fashion designing. Besides, he also obtained success in the year of 2005, which made him more prominent as a creative fashion designer. He has signed an agreement with bvba 32 a Belgian group of professional services, which helped him to open his own fashion studio in Paris. Karl Lagerfeld a famous fashion designer has also acknowledged the work of Ackermann as a fashion designer and wanted to make him as his ideal successor in his fashion house (TITEL Media UG, 2015). Market Level of Haider Ackermann Ackermann primarily focuses upon designing ready to wear garments, which is currently regarded as one of the most common as well as demanding trend in the fashion industry. Moreover, Ackermann has also been able to sets its own fashion line, which has been quite successful in transforming the perception of several people towards the modern clothing style. It has also been observed that the designer clothes of Ackerman have led to the advent of a new style trend within the fashion industry. It is worth mentioning that after obtaining success in the Paris Fashion Week in 2001 with his first women wears collection Ackerman set his own brand image within the industry. The Paris Fashion Week in 2001 played the role of a significant catalyst within the fashion industry for creating the brand awareness of Ackermann clothing collection in a better manner (Cunningham, 2002). Ackermann after launching his first collection relating to women wearing, he has been able to generate his own brand image as a creative designer. Simultaneously, Ackermann has gained popularity in the fashion industry as a creative specialist in designing women’s clothing. He has also gained a considerable appreciation in the fashion industry for designing clothes those are entirely based on creative texture. Moreover, Ackermann is well known for his out of the box collection in the modern clothing line (Zargani, 2015). The major brand strategy of Ackermann is to launch innovative fashion line that can be depicted as an eye-catching trend among people of different age groups. The implementation of this particular strategy has enabled Ackermann to sets up his own fashion line. This also benefited the fashion industry for igniting a new trend within the retail industry. Furthermore, Ackermann categorized himself as a creative designer, who mainly designs garments by integrating creativity to a considerable level. Apart from this, creative essence comprising with textile designing has made Ackermann to be more innovative in comparison to other designers in the global fashion context. Moreover, in order to gain major portion of market shares, Ackermann has paid utmost attention regarding current fashion trend that has been practiced within the industry (Zargani, 2015). Specifically mentioning, Ackermann has also indented to focus over the specific and segmented target market, which is highly effective in capturing major portion of market shares within the fashion industry. Therefore, Ackermann has decided to target modern customers who loved to wear creative designing dress those are highly innovative and unique. Ackermann loves to design clothing with perfection as well as innovativeness that highly emphasises current requirements of people of younger age group. Creative designing style of Ackermann is regarded as one of the most significant approaches, which played an important role in increasing its brand value. Ackerman believes that the creative designing does not require any particular time frame (Ashby & Johnson, 2013). In addition to the above context, Ackermann has also initiated his new business strategy for attracting new customers by launching his collection beyond the traditional fashion trend. Ackerman has decided to go out of the box and launch his new collection irrespective of seasonal trend. As Ackermann has already set his brand name in the women fashion wear, he has also decided to become a specialist designer for both men and women by sufficing the requirements of both segments of these target customers. It has also been noted that the decisions those been taken by Ackermann is an element of his creative designing process (Ashby & Johnson, 2013). Constructed Textiles Used By Ackermann for Designing Collection Ackermann, being a specialist in the field of creative designing has been able to gain considerable popularity within the fashion industry. He intended to design several new products, which reflects his creativity in the textiles designing. There are generally three materials namely silk, satin and cashmere, which are primarily used for designing clothes. Ackerman went beyond these traditional approaches of designing and attempted to utilize innovative textiles as a material for creative clothes design (Getty Images, 2015). Ackermann always wanted to provide new looks to his every designing clothes and wanted to create a new segment of clothes. In order to provide new designs to his every clothing style, Ackermann has decided to create few experiments with the materials. He includes summer cool materials with textiles designing for creating new segments of clothing (Ashby & Johnson, 2013). Besides, it has also been noted that during the Pitti W trade show (from Figure 2 to 4), which was held in Florence, Ackermann has utilized the printed fabrics as a textile materials for design his first men’s collection during the summer, which has also been his major theme. Ackermann has also paid utmost attention towards developing a new fashion trend within this industry. He also used wools and cotton fabrics for designing the ready to wear dresses. His first collection of men’s wear in Florence (from Figure 5 to 9) has gained huge popularity as well as appreciation from several people of fashion industry. Ackerman has gained appreciation for his perfect utilization printed fabrics for design his men’s clothing. He used varied colours and the structure along with the pattern of these apparels was very trendy that largely suits young people (Fletcher, 2013). In this fashion show, he has used acid colours for the making textiles creativity and uses the punk splashes of white paints for designing purpose. He always wanted to reflect a strong looks over the nature of the gang of girls, which relatively made a huge impact to the retail industry. In order to highlight the strong look over the girls’ image, Ackermann has designed these clothes with quite boyish style and structure. He has made those trousers through utilizing glossy satin materials, rugged leather as well as colourful shantung, which has provided an elegant looks to those girls. Besides, Ackermann has also used rainbow colour theme in the fashion week (Fletcher, 2013). Conclusions By reviewing the overall study, it can be ascertained that Haider Ackermann is one of the famous fashion designers who has created his own identity in creative designing. He has been able to sets his own label of designers’ products by utilising proper techniques of the creative designing process. This paper shows the capability of Haider Ackermann in delivering quality products through the creative designing process. Through the entire study, I have learnt that creative designing is an art that is much important for highlighting the actual essence of clothes. The perception of Ackermann has significantly influenced me, as I have come to know that beyond the traditional materials of textiles i.e. silk, satin and cashmere, there are some of the other innovative materials, which significantly attracts people. The perception of Ackermann has also influenced me to believe that innovations and creativity is the prime factor that leads to success in this modern competitive world. Ackermann has also been highly experiental in his work, which has led him to gain innovations at his work. Besides, from the study I also been able to understand that market segmentation is decisive, considering it leads to extreme level of satisfaction among the consumers. In this modern scenario, the demand of creative designing garments is highly influential for practicing a new trend lines within the fashion industry. Therefore, it also apparent that Haider Ackermann is quite successful in gaining huge popularity as well as market shares within the domain of global fashion industry by creating new trend in the global fashion world.
