As the report stresses the manufacturing company had some strengths and weaknesses. To improve learning, the strengths need to be enhanced and the weaknesses dealt with. The company needs to continue involving employees in decision making so as to gain their commitment and decide the kind of learning they would like o undertake. Information is disseminated by use of memos but the company can take advantage of advanced technology to disseminate information such as e-learning. The company can also need to encourage team work so as to enhance knowledge transfer from skilled staff to the less skilled ones. There are workers who are in a position to act as boundary workers such as quality checkers, merchandising and C&F and the company should take advantage and use them as a source of information.
According to the report findings improving workplace learning is aimed at achieving learning goals. Every workplace desires to be the best in the industry and this can only be achieved through its workforce. Ensuring workers needs are met should therefore be the ultimate goal of a workplace. Improved learning enables individuals, employers and organizations to respond to changing nature of economic activity. Garment manufacturing company is prone to frequent style changes depending on seasons. Low economic activity demands cheaper styles and winter and summer different styles.
