In America the terms “college” and “university” represent one and the same thing. College education in the United States of America involves four years of academic education in an institution that imparts higher learning (Lucas 27). Students enrolled in the specific four years are respectively called freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years (Lucas 27).
college education constitutes another level that requires not only a solid financial standing but also a strong commitment. The importance of college education has been raised in various studies most of whom recognize its significance.
These are individual differences in students that come from their family backgrounds, home-country culture, language, religious beliefs, race, and lifestyle.
In my opinion, multi-culture in a classroom delivers more benefits than troubles, during the course of study and various academic activities.
First of all, there are the resources it puts at the student's disposal, the library, the computer and internet facilities, gyms, sporting facilities and so on: each an avenue to pursue excellence in some of the other field of interest, or simply push for physical and intellectual growth. Plus, there is the chance to meet people.
