Such an influence of information literacy in the business education sector is still developing. For one to integrate scholarship and practice, for example, it requires that leaders be able to get the theoretical understanding of those leadership principles considered core through the scholarly kind of study and research. The main approach taken by scholarship practice and leadership model has been the attempt to enjoin theory of different areas with required practices and trying to push new actions that have a beneficial and prolonged impact on those who directly receive such a model. The scholarship aspect in such an SPL model has all to do with gaining profound knowledge and understanding the various theories in the field and presenting constructively debatable arguments and criticism alike that influence evolution, research, and thorough understanding (Tourish, et al., 2010). This scholastic level has been the confine of business education for many years. It is quite interesting that the role of education has remained in the transfer of knowledge by use of textbooks and constant examinations. Much as theory is important, the system of such education needs to give clear guidance on the application of these grasped theories when it comes to actual or practical situations.

Practice is influenced by information literacy through the relevant application of such literal works that are currently found in fulfilling an organization’s proposition of value tenets. Such actions start by recognizing and figuring out how and what theory applicable is described in the literature so as to fulfill the proposed value. For one to gain and exercise such skills and ability to recognize and discern he or she must derive it from scholarship, practice, experience, and leadership. It is held that educational maturity best practices are entrenched in business practices and constantly promoted by institutions of higher learning and subsequent professional organization (University of Idaho, 2009).

Leadership entails the use of all resources at an organization’s disposal on someone so as to lead it in a successful way, never forgetting the impact of his or her actions on all people within and without the organization. Getting the best leaders who can guide students in this process is quite cumbersome. True leadership formation is still a big failure for such institutions because of the enclosure aspect of teaching as is opposed to the application of critical thinking in a work environment. Basically, classrooms might not form successful leaders but the outside environment does. However, participative learning could work as an effective tool in modeling effective and successful leaders (Tourish, et al., 2010).

Keen consideration of the scholarship, practice, and leadership model could prove to be the most assertive way of imparting information literacy to students who have the unending need for continuous education in their life. A model that naturally gives them a chance to become useful members of the community rather than class experts only is an essential factor to be considered (Turusheva, 2009).
