I am repetitively focusing on being friends because I have personally experienced this in my life that we are only easily able to share our life with those who understand us the most and in most of the cases, these are our friends. Friends know every aspect of our personality, they know our backgrounds, they are aware of our skills and capabilities, and they always do what makes us happy. I believe that only after acquiring this place in the hearts of students, I can accomplish my vision, which is to develop a culturally responsive classroom.
Culturally responsive classroom reflects the idea that in a classroom teacher should treat all the students equally and should not give priority to one student over other based on their ethnic or racial identity. In this type of classroom, every student gets an equal opportunity to express his or her ideas. In this type of classroom teacher allows no one to ridicule the culture and traditions of others rather creates a sense of respect in them. To do all this primarily a teacher should be unbiased. Because if a teacher becomes bias, this would not work in his or her favor because this would create differences among students ultimately making it difficult for teacher to control the class and convey his or her instructions. In addition of being unbiased a teacher should also possess the capability of being bold because he might get to listen to the painful stories of students, in this situation he will have to give them courage instead of becoming sad himself. (Rothstein-Fisch & Trumbull, 2008). If a class is culturally responsive, students will be able to open up their heart and share whatever lessens their burdens. I can accomplish this vision firstly, by winning the trust of the students because it will create a comfort zone for them and they will be able to speak out their hearts. How can a teacher win the trust of the students? This requires efforts, efforts of underpinning the personality of each student individually, efforts of knowing their cultural backgrounds, efforts
