Teachers’ professional skills, as well as interpersonal skills, have a great impact on a student's learning and development. To help us understand this, let’s first look at the impact of the teacher’s skills on the students. (Midoro 2005)

The professional skills of the teacher impact communication skills to the students. Through the teacher’s skills, the students transmit the information faster and to a wider audience hence improving the relations of the students.

The teacher is also seen as a role model to the students and his/her interpersonal skills have the following impacts on the students. (Midoro 2005)
Teachers affect their students’ attitude to ICT. Students are able to learn from the teacher’s attitude and are likely to adopt the teacher’s behavior.

Through the teacher’s interpersonal skills, the self-esteem of the students is boosted. The teacher should motivate his students for them to achieve self-esteem.
Teachers make students have the self-confidence they require in handling ICT issues and other matters of life. A teacher should encourage a student and correct the student’s mistakes. This will encourage the student to be confident in his/her endeavors.
