This paper will highlight the theory and model and analyze how its application in understanding the issues of children with special needs.
For the brain to perform any of its functions, it adopts a logical order of processing information. The information processing theory is analogous to the functioning of a computer. The theory touches on three parts of the brain. These include the sensory memory that receives all sensory input. The short memory actively processes the perceived stimuli through several cognitive processes. The aspects of pattern recognition and attention come in closely to help the short memory process the stimuli. After processing, other complex procedures transfer the information to the long-term memory. Retrieval often occurs from the long-term memory. Information in the short-term memory is accessible for limited amounts of time and often undergoes decay after time elapses.
In the social context, Crick and Dodge constructed a model that highlights the stepwise manner in which the human mind processes social cues from the point of reception to the production of response. In this model, it becomes clear that the brain does not respond to stimuli without processing. On the contrary, several steps are necessary for the human brain to produce a relevant response (Flood, Hare, and Wallis, 2011).
In the initial stages of the social information processing, the brain indulges actively in the encoding and making interpretations out of cues from the social context or internal sources. The interpretation process includes analysis of causes, consideration of both self and inferences from others, goal assessment and past performance evaluation. In the next step, the brain employs several mechanisms in order to clarify the goal of the process. After attaining clarity on the social goals expected, the brain then indulges ...

One of the major criticisms that are made against the media is that it is a contributing factor to the decay of morality. In a recent national poll conducted it was found that around 70% of Americans are either very or to some extend worried about the popular culture that is portrayed through the media, is leading to a reduction in the moral standards in the United States.
The intent of an e-business is to generate income, strengthen service and limit price by expanding using the Internet. The prospects of online trading have substantial revenue and its realized when the services perform for the business. E-business has evolved and is continually changing to accommodate new technology, inventions and innovations.
The development of dual coding theory brought new light in training and learning by insisting that nonverbal processing is equally essential in learning as verbal processing. Human cognitive processing is closely associated to imagery and cognition of objects that are not verbal.
Psychologists have established that the brain takes a stepwise process in producing a response to any situation that it encounters. Crick and Dodge constructed a model that sought to elaborate these steps in the social scene (Dodge et al, 2003). In the education sector, understanding the information processing theory and the model is crucial in assessing the causes of deficits in information processing, in children with special needs.
This theory claims that computers and human mind share a similar mechanism of processing information. It also asserts that new information going through to the brain is initially analyzed and put to a test of benchmarks before storage in memory vestibules.
An example if a signal processing system is the filter. Filtering refers to an operation in signal processing that processes a signal with the aim of manipulating the information it contains. Therefore, a filter maps an input signal to another output signal, thus extracting the desired information that the input signal contains.
