The subject of corporal punishment draws raging debates among scholars, parents, educators, and students. On the one side of the debate is the view that it instills good discipline and conduct among students in public schools. This practice is termed as corporal punishment and many Nepal people advocate for it based on Hindu teachings that state that children should get tadana which means reprimanding by beating in order to shape their lives.
