Extract of sample "Increasing the Level of Ethical Awareness"

With regards to being an ethical leader, this is always a harder set of decisions due to the fact that the choices that are made impact directly upon each and every member of the group that is being led.  However, even within such a difficult situation, it is possible to attempt to view a situation from as many different perspectives as possible and try to maximize the good for all individuals involved.  In such a way, it is always necessary to place ethics and an ethical interpretation of each and every situation as the primary good towards which all following decisions can and should be defined.  From the personal perspective, ethics can be promoted by speaking out and voicing concerns within a group to better promote the ethical standards that the individual feels are of importance.  As a means of putting into practice a better interpretation and framework of ethics within one’s own school, it is necessary to not make quick decisions and to consider all individuals impacted as well as all aspects of the situation prior to coming to a conclusion or putting one’s support or initiative behind a particular project or idea.
