There have been challenges in funding education such as the aspect of equity among different states. Some states are wealthier than others and this has drawn the ire of other people who have filed lawsuits to have this anomaly corrected. There are also challenges faced at the district level in terms of funding education. While effort is made to get more money for schools, there are other challenges that are encountered. These are related to how the money is spent in schools in an equitable way.

Some money is spent on teacher incentives but this has also raised some eyebrows as a result of the fact that funding meant for education should be used as such. These extra costs have resulted in debts being incurred which pose challenges in managing budgets meant for education. Therefore, concerted efforts should be made by the legislature to come up with holistic measures that can be implemented in order to ensure that money meant for education is used for that purpose.
