Such standards help teachers gauge individual targets amongst students, who supervise the capabilities and development of programs that sustain and enhance student learning. The following are the aims and reasons why educational standards are essential to the education system and the benefits that arise from it: (1) Help advance an institutions’ view of how assessment is necessary in order to take action towards the claim of accountability, which includes the understanding of how assessment is a gradual process and a source of information for the process of improvement.(2) Provides a basis by which accreditation can be demanded, through advanced educational commissions in the assessment area.(3) Acts as a corner stone for training different faculties and workforce in the educational assessment process.(4) It also aids in the facilitation of the responses acquired in relation to the programs, courses and institutional planning.(5) Including the development and implementation and ways to improve the educational assessment process. Therefore, it can be agreed on that assessment aids in enhancing education while at the same time recognizing how students use their knowledge in understanding and discovering (Ryan & Shepard 56). These strategies and responsibilities require planning during the conception of the educational process. When such instances occur, it is usually hard to be able to distinguish assessments from training and education. Thus by integrating education, teachers can be able to determine which aspects between scholars performance to record. Such accounts a used to observe students development that verify what to educate next and choose the echelon of detail. Learning standards are straight to the point, with written descriptions of what scholars are required to learn and be talented to do at a particular point of their training. Educational standards illustrate learning objectives; these include what scholars have learned by the end of class, both grade level and grade span, and they do not explain any meticulous educational practice, syllabus, or assessment techniques even though this is a source of ongoing debate. Though educational standards differ in information, purpose and blueprint from different states, majority of these educational systems share a variety of general attributes (Fletcher 143). It also requires that educators a sequencing information efficiently and avoiding the unintended duplication of material taught in former grades. Educational standards, in a way, do provide a positive impact on the curriculum with which the students a taught. Hence, by means of these standards the levels of education tend to develop in a systematic manner ensuring the productivity and skills of the individuals. Some of the key effects of education include: Educational Consistency Educational standards discuss how to develop better steadiness and harmony in what is educated to students in different states and schools. Hence, before the arrival of educational standards including other efforts to regulate public training, different schools and teachers determined educational expectations in the required course of training, whether based on subject area, or grade level, the situation gave increase to important educational disparities. Hence, by understanding the considerable weight to sell standardized tests, those who develop such tests come across a difficult predicament which develops from the significant curricular assortment in the United States. Conclusion Therefore, it can be concluded that assessment aids in enhancing education and at the same time helps in recognizing how students use their knowledge in understanding and discovering. It also includes helping in developing and integrating new information by understanding the skills gained. It aids teachers and scholars to be acquainted with current understanding for future education. Thus educational standards are important in the assessment of the education process.
