Further research is ongoing on its effectiveness, but CALL could play an important role to assist learners who face difficulties in acquiring Arabic vocabulary, and understanding it in context.
Vocabulary is an important component of language learning , as it integrates the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing . In the academic context, an appropriate strategy for acquiring vocabulary becomes a necessity, and an informed teacher is essential . Unfortunately, the traditional teacher-centred method in which the teacher merely lists Arabic words for students to memorise along with their lexical meaning is inadequate . This is apparent in the inability of many students to engage in even a short conversation. Students identify the lack of vocabulary as the primary obstacle to second language learning whereas mastery of vocabulary is essential for functional language proficiency . The development of online materials is therefore recommended for teaching and learning Arabic as a second language .
New and innovative approaches can now be used to teach vocabulary to sustain students interest and effort in learning . For this purpose, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) courseware could have the potential to enhance vocabulary competency of non-Arabic language learners. CALL can help to reinforce the ability to recall newly acquired words, which was identified as an important skill , as long as it is used effectively . The need for such measures is also in line with the efforts of Malaysias Ministry of Education to improve the acquisition and understanding of foreign languages through innovative methods in education.

Through recasts a teacher can correct a student who is making a mistaken in their oral utterances of the language (Niegorodcew). This makes recasts a very favorable method of teaching, not only because recasting is quick in its use but it also provides an ample display of the help that the student needs.
On one hand, CALL has some evident advantages, such as power, versatility and motivation (Towndrow, 2001). Computers can store large amounts of information, they can process this information at great speed (which helps to diversify tasks with randomly chosen words and word combinations); computers can take a large part of a teacher's routine work like storing the results of their students' activity and carrying out the evaluation of students' works, therefore teachers have more space and time for creative activities.

The author states that English can be learnt in two basic methods. Firstly, the language can be learnt through acquisition. This method of learning English takes place through interaction with native speakers. Studying through a classroom setting is the second method through which a person can learn English as a second language.
The author states that human beings posses a unique dental formula consisting of evenly spaced set of teeth and a complex powerful muscular system that controls and manipulates the movement of the lips. This is helpful in producing labial sounds like [p] and [b] together with dentals like [ɵ] as they are produced with the lips and the teeth.
In explaining this, we will consider some language theories presented by Lightbown and Spada, which concentrated on apprentices’ innate capacity while others emphasize the role of environment and social context (Lightbown, & Spada, 2012). Besides,
