The other supporting points are that culture has an influence in student learning and that gender influences the way individuals learn and may differ from the gender beliefs on learning by students. On learning profiles, the chapter uses cognitive style where it describes the differences among individuals in processing and organizing of information, learning in different ways by individuals through different learning neural, and the difficulty in the assessment and moderation of learning associated environmental variables. Guidelines supporting differentiation in learning response, differentiation of process, content, and product based on learning profile, differentiation with synthesis groups and thinking caps, are given and the conclusion is the need for teachers to incorporate differentiation in their classes for augmented effectiveness.
The main ways through which the reading supports my professional development include the chapter reinforces my understanding of the differences in learning profiles of students to allow for better teaching delivery.
