Students use this topic to practice speaking and writing with the command of standard grammar. The topic introduces students to the use of subject-verb agreement, use of tenses in verbs as well as the proper utility of adjectives and verbs.
The lessons are designed for children between the age of 8 and 9 years. The teacher will use the blackboard and chalk in teaching. There will be the use of charts with words and images to foster memory. The lessons also intend to use shape objects in geometry. Text books will be used as referencing materials.
The students should eventually know as well as apply the principle and concepts of mathematics in other subject fields such as life, physical and social sciences, history and civics as well as cultural practices. (Barge, 2014).
The lessons will run from eight in the morning to midday. This will involve a two phase structure that divides the four hours in to two hours for each lesson. The plan intends to schedule lessons that will run for three consecutive months. The school library will act as a resource center for learning materials. Students will also have a reading area where they can develop their reading skills individually.
A good lesson begins with a summary of previous learning sessions in order to keep the students in check. My lessons will begin with questions about previous learning session followed by a motivational talk which introduces relevance of what is being taught in class. A teacher tends to write short notes on the topic of discussion in the lessons in order not to omit important points during the teaching (California Department of Education. 2011). In this case, I will choose on employing this technique to enhance efficiency in my lessons. The lesson will also use cheerful story to make the students free from destructive mental state and concentrate on the material being taught.
