EDU 577 is designed to help students view, analyze and interpret the curriculum and related instructions of education institutions and develop relevant skills that may help bring change in society. EDU 577 is an e-learning course that will be taught fully online. Learners will be expected to complete assigned text readings from the main text and other online readings related to the course sequence of the selected curriculum topics. The course will be very participatory in nature. Teaching of the course will be in the form of curriculum topics in which the students will complete assigned activities under each topic. Students will conduct independent research and write paper or report at the end of the course. Students should interact, participate and contribute towards the success of the course.

Various reasons have required avail online distance learning. And, at the same time, this medium of learning and teaching is fast receiving global recognition (Berger, 1999, pp.684). Fundamentally, the inception and globalization of technology particularly, and the use of the Internet have considerably facilitated in this process of distance learning.
Internet can be simply defined as “an international network of millions of computers that allows you to access and transmit information” (Price & Wix, 2002, p.1). Evidently, Internet has become an inevitable component of modern life and people belonging to all classes use infinite applications of internet frequently.
Another reason is that student commitment with family and job has increased, and students do not have free time to spend in educational institutes. Due to this scenario, education providers have incorporated or created educational programs for students with the assistance of up-to-date technology.
