Exercises and Quizzes al Affiliation Exercises and Quizzes I took three quizzes: the APA Capitalization Quiz, APA Numbers Quiz, and the Passive Voice Exercise (Walden University, 2014). The challenging aspect encountered in the capitalization quiz was discerning the need to capitalize the beginning word in a quoted statement. Concurrently, in the numbers quiz, I made some mistakes in deciding whether to select the numerical number or that which is spelled out in the following situations: exact unit of time, above 10, beginning of a sentence, and exact sums of money.

Finally, the passive voice exercise was challenging since I had to re-write the sentence from passive to active voice. In the first five sentences, the passive phrase was highlighted, while in the rest of the exercise, I had to determine the passive voice and to change it accordingly. The difficult portion was in sentences where no identified agent or subject was noted. As such, I had to determine who the appropriate subject is and to restructure the passive voice into active voice, as required.

The experience was most appreciated since the weaknesses were immediately pointed out. As such, I was able to make the necessary corrections. The most challenging exercise was the passive voice exercise because with some sentences, especially without agents (or subjects), require some application of analytical thinking.
