Furthermore, safeguarding ensures development of suitable environment that in turn facilitates overall growth and development of child’s. In the context of safeguarding children and young, charitable organisations are been formulated with the aim of providing proper safe as well as healthy environment that likely to positively contribute in enhancing growth of a child. On the other hand, childcare providers play an important role in promoting and providing proper care as well as protection. Additionally, the childcare providers contribute to provide additional responsibility to take respective actions as well as measures on the behalf of the concerned that has faced any abusive instances. In this context, it is essential to formulate necessary policies as well as procedure for proper childcare protection. This chapter focuses over interpretation of data that has been gathered staffs based on analysis of their perception considering safeguarding children and the measures implemented in practices. Furthermore, the interpretation of data was followed by significance of the data and information collected respectively. Additionally this chapter also comprehends analysis of overall learning through the conduct of research process. Finally, conclusion and recommendation was drawn on the basis of the staff perception about safeguarding the children in the nursery. Process of Data Analysis This section of the chapter discusses the process of data collection used in the research study. For the purpose of data collection, action research method has been used that mainly focuses on the participants involved and gathering their responses over the research topic. This particular method has been selected for the data collection as it regarded to be effective approach in problem solving with respect to the data collected in the research study. The data has been collected on the basis of semi-structured interviews that has been further analysed in order to derive the respective conclusion and recommendation with respect to safeguarding children. The set of questions prepared for the purpose of data collection comprise of open-ended questions that in turn assisted to ensures the collection of accurate and relevant data with respect to the research objective. The data has been collected from the staff members involved in nursery setting with the aim towards safeguarding the children’s. Furthermore, interpretive approach has been used in the data collection that in turn involves observation method as well as review of literature. In the context of action based research, the interpretive approach considered to be appropriate, as it ensures effective communication between the researcher and participant that helps to facilitates collection of accurate data. For the purpose of research study, mixed approach has been used that implies effective use of quantitative as well as qualitative method in the process of data collection. Interpretation of Result This section of the chapter discusses and interprets data and information collected through the interview method. In this context, eight practitioners were interviewed who are engaged in providing care and safety to the children’s. Furthermore, open-ended questions was considers to effective as compared to other approach that enables the participant members to share their point of view regarding safeguarding children. The respondents to interview enquired to give their respective opinion regarding safeguarding children. The analysis of the interview data collected reveals similarity in opinion with respect to safeguarding the children, as most of the respondents to interview agreed with the fact that safeguard of children signifies protection of children from all kinds of harms that are likely to have a negative impact on their growth and development. Additionally, it has been reflected that the staff members considers it highly essential to identify the needs of children that in turn ensures proper care and safety. Furthermore, safeguarding children also signifies identification of different signs of abuse against the children in their learning environment. This in turn is likely to be helpful in implementing correct procedures as well as different measures with the aim of dealing with different issues of abuse as faced by the concerned children effectively. Furthermore, it can be affirmed from the data that has been collected that it is responsibility of the staff members to ensure that children are protected against harm both inside as well as out of the nursery setting. The staff members are required to report it any kind of abuse against the child is recognised and further necessary measures are been taken to provide appropriate assistance to the concerned child. The respondents were further enquired regarding the role played with respect to safeguarding of children in the workplace by the staff members. The interpretation of the data collected reveals the fact that the staff members provided with special training programme with the aim of enhancing their understanding with respect to safeguarding the children in appropriate manner. Furthermore, communication session among the staff members are been conducted that in turn assists in development as well as improvement of competency skills and abilities with respect to facilitating different services to the concerned child. Moreover, further actions are been taken to improve the safeguard board that in turn ensures proper handling of different cares concerning to the child abuse. From the collected data, it can be evaluated that the staff members are also involved in the risk assessment programme that further assist them to identify the problem s faced by the concerned children. Moreover, the staff members are responsible to communicate with parents regarding behaviour and attitude of the child throughout the day. In the similar context, data from secondary sources also affirms the fact that safeguarding the children is fundamental aspect of childcare regulation thus, registered child care providers familiar with the aspect of safeguarding and child welfare requirement and work they need to be implement (Broadcust & et. al., 2009). In addition to this the staff members evaluates the risk as well as the needs and requirements of the children effectively to communicate with other members of nursery to implement effective measures. The practitioners were further enquired about different key aspects associated with safeguard policy in workplace. The data collected reveals the fact that the staff members work cooperatively with the family members as well as children to provide proper safe as well as best care services with respect to govern legislations. Apparently, secondary source data reveal the fact that preventive measures need to be ensured regarding the provision of childcare and education to ensure the well- being and safety of child in effective manner (Blyth & Solomon, 2012). In the context of safeguard policies, the staff members are also involved in recording the issues faced by the concerned child. Furthermore, the data collected signifies the fact that staff members are also responsible for promoting and providing safe environment for children. In addition, it can be further analysed from the collected data that legal framework is followed by the staff members with according to which the work is being carried out in nursing setting. Furthermore, training are been provided to the staff members that is likely to assist them in identifying the type of abuse being faced by the children in effective manner. In the similar context, Bifulco & Thomas (2013) argues that there are various abusing environment that child faces that the child practitioners need to have clearly understand to proper protection to child. The respondents to interview have further shared their opinion regarding the challenges faced by them in relation to the senior members with respect to the safeguarding concern. The participants to interview have further shared their opinion with respect to child protection. The data analysis reveals the fact that child protection is important, as they are most vulnerable and therefore the staff members are required to handling them with care and love. On the other hand, secondary source reflected the fact that children faces the issues of emotional abuse that resulted to significant behavioural changes thus, it been highly effective to induce proper care by care providers (Baginsky, 2008). It has been further evaluated from the data collected that protection of child is regarded to given high priority by the practitioners within proper legal framework is been effectively followed with the aim of providing care. Furthermore, it can be analysed from the data collected that increased importance has been given to factors due to which the children make allegations against the teachers. This aspect in turn signifies the fact that the children are allowed to share their opinion that further recorded and investigated if necessary in order to analyse behaviour in effective manner. Furthermore, the data collected also signifies active participation of protection agency that is Single Pont Access Team (SPA) in providing child welfare. Similarly, it has been highlighted in secondary sources that childcare should take effective measure to find out children are in abused. In this regard, if such instance arises then they report the case to concern care protection agency such as SPA (Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2013). The interpretation of data also reveals the fact that the staff members need to focused in providing proper child protection with respect to safeguard. Additionally, the staff members are also provides with proper training opportunities that is effective with respect to enhancement of competency skills that in turn is effective in providing proper care and service to the concerned children. On the other hand, according to the report of Hughes and Owen (2009) practitioners much timely recognize child who are been abused or witness domestic violence as it significantly impact development and maintained sense of self-worth. The practitioners are well aware of the abuses faced by the children furthermore; effective measures are taken by with the aim of child welfare. In addition to this effective communication, process between children, teachers, staff members as well as parents facilitates promotion of proper safeguard. Similarly, secondary data also reveal the fact that practitioners should able provide children clear lines of communication that help them to ensure they are secure, cared and listened and thereby promote (Blyth & Solomon, 2012). The data collected via semi-structured interviews and open-ended questionnaires reveals the fact the practitioners provided with training opportunity to enhance their ability to identify the situation faced by the children in effective manner. Apparently, the measures are taken on the basis of legal framework that in turn ensures safeguarding of children. Correspondently, the practitioners involved in proving service also contract with other health organisation or bodies with the aim of providing efficient as well as effective service to the children. In this context, it can be further stated that the section 11 of the Children Act 2004 defines wide ranges of duties that are associated with providing proper childcare that has to be maintained in nursery. Additionally, the Act also signifies duties associated with both practitioners as well as institution involve identification and safeguarding the needs of child’s. The laws have been framed with respect to promoting the welfare of children who faces different situations and circumstances that likely to impact their care. Furthermore, the section also defines duties associated with the local authorities that further require proper development of environment that in turn promotes the overall welfare of children (1Crown, 2015; 2Crown, 2015). The interpretation of data signifies that the practitioners are responsible to identify the signs and symptoms of abuse and likely to develop measures to improve their condition. From the review of secondary sources, it can be further analysed that the children are more likely to face emotional abuse that in turn has negative impact over overall growth and development of child. Moreover, in the context of the UK law, the children are been protected against any maltreatment with the aim to ensure safety as well s effective care (2Crown, 2015; Bristol City Council, 2013). Nevertheless, it has been further evaluated from the collected data that the concerned practitioners follow the child protection policies with respect to the laws and regulations governing in the UK. The practitioners are provided with the responsibility to identify abuse faced by the children. In addition, the relation between the child and staff is regarded to be highly crucial and influence the environment of nursery setting. The care provider takes the necessary steps if chid under care is been abused. The data collected also signifies that communication process is one of the most essential requirements to develop sound environment in nursery setting. The data also reveals the fact that the practitioners report the incidents of abuse to local agencies who are engaged in different social services respectively. For instance, Single Point Access Team that one of the local bodies of the UK responsible that engaged with handling different issues involving child abuse. The practitioners were not aware about SPA team. However, the presentation provide to the practitioners has proved to be useful for as it has increased awareness about the service provided and role of SPA teams in UK. Furthermore, initiatives are to be taken by the care institutions to foster proper growth and development of children (NHS Foundation Trust, 2012). Conclusion and Recommendations From the above discussion, it can be evaluated that the concerned staff members maintain their responsibility towards the children in effective manner. Additionally, analysis of the staff perception with respect to safeguarding of children signifies the fact that the practitioners are aware of their duties and responsibilities and practice. However, the presentation provided to the practitioners has proved to be more beneficial as it has further enhanced the quality of services provided to the concern child. The collected data also signifies that the children are most vulnerable to different situation of abuse in nursery setting. However, facilitating proper communication between staff, parents, teachers as well as children required to maintain proper environment of nursery and care. Moreover, the staff members interacts with the higher authorities in order to solve different issues with respect to child abuse is highly important. The staff members are regarded to have provided with proper training with the aim of enhancing their ability and skills timely. Safeguarding of children not only requires development of proper environment, but also requires for proper identification of abuse faced by the children. In this regard, it can be recommend that providing facilities to develop competency skills can be beneficial for both the staff members as well as service providers to facilitate better care to children. Furthermore, efficient involvement of local social service provider is likely to enhance the quality of service provided by them with respect to safeguarding children.
