The importance of educators today on families, Communities and the nation The importance of educators Unlike in the past wheninformation technology was not available, it is now easier to gain knowledge about anything through the electronic and print media. The internet especially has made it easier for people to access any information they need. However, the role of educators such as teachers in the community is still relevant in the modern society. It is through the career counseling that they guide the students on the bets career choices to avoid a situation where they land in jobs that they do not enjoy.

An effective career guide helps the students achieve their best since they stay focused on a particular goal. With good career choices, the productivity of the employees is improved because they do the jobs that they enjoy. Education is one of the best ways to eradicate poverty thus the role of educators in the community is directly linked to poverty eradication and enhancing human welfare. The educators do not only benefit the students, but their families, community and the entire nation. The educators also benefit families in that they help reduce family conflicts.

Through education, one is able to understand the importance of values such as honesty, respect and integrity that promote harmony in the family. Conflict resolution is easy in educated families because all parties understand the importance of peaceful co-existence (Schuller et. al, 2004). The financial stability that one achieves from successful careers is also helpful to their families as they are able to meet the basic needs necessary in enhancing the social welfare. The success of families extends to the communities indirectly.

When families are financially, economically and socially stable, this reflects in the community as well. They are able to relate with the other community members well thus promoting peace. A peaceful community is more likely to achieve its development plans better than a chaotic one. Through education, the society is aware about the factors that may hinder development such as corruption and this guarantees future economic success of the nation. Learning about the adverse consequences of such vices discourages the students from engaging in them and this promotes the social welfare of the society.

The educators are responsible for imparting and developing the skills of the students in various fields such as medicine, law, music and fine arts. This helps in development of the nation in all aspects and ensures that the culture and values of the society are passed on from one generation to the other. This way, the nation benefits from improved economy since it is able to compete favorably with other economies. The role of educators is thus crucial in ensuring development of families, communities and the entire nation.

The effort put by the educators in advising the students on the best career choices plays an important role in ensuring a high quality and motivated workforce. The educators play a very important role in poverty eradication and this leads to a socially and economically stable nation. The political aspect of the society is also enhanced by education through education on good leadership and patriotism. It enables the society to make sound decisions when electing their political leaders and makes the leaders deliver quality services.

Without the educators, the society would be chaotic, with high levels of poverty and political instability. References Schuller, T., Hammond, C., Preston, J., Brassett-Grundy, A., & Bynner, J. (2004). The benefits of learning: The impact of education on health, family life and social capital. Routledge.
