Applications is the third component of the program. This section deals with matters of money and resources for the IDEA program. Policy frameworks, the provision of free educational support, and materials are some of the issues that are spelt out in the program (Jones, Apling & Smole, 2004). Procedures and safeguards component of the program provides certain safeguards that attach to all persons that within the IDEA program. The component is important in the sense that it spells out the manner in which the program relates to the child as an individual.
