This essay approves that the effectiveness of a girl child from a single-sex school going to a mixed-sex higher school is slow and often leads to a poor showing of performance by the girl child. Girls who come from Middle East and attended primary education in their native country will have a lot of difficult in class. For one to be effective in any field, experience and habits are very essential to such people. Being used to a scenario will promote the behavior of a person. Mixed-sex higher school is effective to the girl child from the single-sex school. This is because there is no close correlation between gender and performance. Girls have the ability to perform well in any system no matter the environment. Mixed higher learning will give the girl child the strength to compete favorably well with the boy child. Since, the system is in the higher level it does not have any bearing in the performance of the girls. Studies show that the coeducational system is the most efficient as it gives both gender the opportunity to engage and find solve the problems facing them as members of different gender.

The debates over single sex education and coeducation have assumed new dimensions today as there have been growing numbers of studies and researches on the positive and negative effects of both system of education on male and female learners.
Some studies seem to be purely motivated by political beliefs, while others are thoroughly researched and professionally presented. One such study that raises questions about the efficacy of single-sex classrooms focused on reading and math classes in a middle school with a high population of minority students.
In addition, teachers at school are also skeptical when dealing with issues related to sex in classrooms. As such, it ends up as a delegated responsibility that never reaches fulfillment. On one hand, the parents and guardians fail to speak of sex and sex education to their teenage children hoping their teachers in schools will take up the task (Angera, Brookins-Fisher & Inungu, 2008).
According to the paper mixed-sex school systems are becoming quite common in different parts of the world although there is a big debate on which system of schooling, between the mixed-sex schooling system, and the single sex schooling system is more advantageous to both the individual students/pupils and the general society. Single sex education that is also known as gender schooling entails conducting education where the male and female attended school separately in classes, buildings or schools. This practice emerged in the nineteenth century especially in secondary and higher education. Apparently, single sex education is advocated in most of the culture with regard to tradition and religion as a practice witnessed in various parts of the world.
It would be worthwhile to analyze how single-sex schools offer many more advantages to pupils.One of the most difficult decisions many parents have to make is deciding which school to send their children to. Every parent would want their child to study in a classroom environment that stimulates their child’s intellectual growth, and pupils as well to a large extent want to succeed within the academic system.

Many are for sex education in high schools and at the same time, the number advocating against such actions is not in short supply.
