According to Olomukoro (2005), progressing higher learning can be regarded as a way of obtaining knowledge that will facilitate the individual to keep up with the fast-changing cultural, social, political, economic, and technological changes occurring in the atmosphere in which the individual woman finds herself. According to UNESCO (1996), women’s higher education can be regarded as one of the top investments for their future. (Egenti & Omoruyi 2011:131).

According to Levitt and Dubner (2005), society is the invention of mankind, and human beings are acquiescent thereby reacting to sanctions and motivations in the short run. In contemporary society, females often outperform males in higher educations, particularly in getting international master's degrees in foreign countries like the USA and Europe. The majority of cultures across the globe are embracing a patriarchal society. A patriarchal society is one where decisions are ruled by male authority. In a patriarchal society, men have been considered to be breadwinners whereas women have been required to act as a reproducing machine and act as caregivers. However, sex roles have transformed in recent times and now, many still feel too strong for women in the workplace as masculine. (Farsoun 1985:83).

A patriarch is one where the father or head or ruler of the tribe or family is the leader, and it is a political rule by men over women or a male-commanded society. Patriarchy is a political setup that tries to administer and vanquish women so that their right to make decisions, about their education, mothering, and childrearing, laboring, and loving are restricted by the male dominant society. Patriarchy can be defined as a system of domination, acknowledges the potential authority of women and realize the authority of men in a family. Its main objective is to annihilate the woman’s awareness about their prospective power, which emanates from the requirement of society to reproduce itself. (Goodwin: 207).

This research essay will analyze whether married women get support from her patriarchal community to peruse her higher studies in abroad, what are the impediments witnessed by such women, ways and means to overcome it, how educated women help to reform the society in which she resides and finally findings and conclusion.

Feminism is the conviction that women and men are equivalent, and this equality should be mirrored in a society in which both would have analogs social, economic, and political privileges. This basic belief is seen widespread in many guises of feminism. Though feminism evolved in the West, in the contemporary world, feminist activities and views are seen all through the globe. In the UK, in the 1800s, divorce was a costly affair due to a private act of parliament, and only in 1957; the first divorce court was started.
