In the past years, the increase in the petroleum prices, coupled with tendency of fossil fuel reserves and their dangerous effects that cannot be avoided and the lack of political stability in the sources of energy regions have led to the renewable energy systems study (Air-X, 2008). In this case, electrical energy is outputted by the systems of renewable energy systems like fuel cells and photovoltaic panels in direct current form. As a result, regardless of the fact that the electrical energy produced by the wind turbines is directly proportional to the wind velocity making it alternative current (AC) , undergoes conversion back to dc energy by the converters found internally in the small-scale turbines of the wind that are utilized in structures like buildings (Cete, 2010). This network is then injected with Direct Current energy. Thus, the DC energy outputted through the wind turbines, fuel cells and photovoltaic panels. The DC energy produced cannot be used readily by the consumers without having been converted to AC energy. This is given the fact that the consumer uses electricity in AC form. The conversion from DC to AC has a few challenges like the improvising of DC to AC converter. ...

However, service providers require low cost network to optimize profit. This paper analyzes installation cost of opaque networking system, transparent networking and translucent networking systems as types of optical mesh networks. To examine Optical mesh network types and analyze their installation cost effective factor one needs to base observation on the following basic network service…

Renewable and Solar Power in the UK
The scope for using solar power based technologies in the UK The UK possesses 0.3% of global oil reserves. A peak for oil production in the UK occurred in 1999, and by 2010, this tailed off by 54% (Busby, 2010). There are indications however, that there could be an estimated 25 billion barrels of oil remaining in British waters (BBC News, 2010). Tapping into these reserves however, would require a…

On a macro scale the Hybird system work in three phases, production, Power electronics and Consumption. The production is done by the Renewable Energy system, stored by batteries and in case of backup by generator. Then the Power Electronics regulates the supply and transmission of the power to the appliances where the load is required. This figure below shows working of a Hybrid System. To meet…

Power Storage for the National Grid
The high voltage electric power is majorly distributed by electrical transmission lines measured in voltage. The UK National grid is particularly honored for using hydropower, nuclear and thermal energy power in high voltage power transmission for use in economic growth, powering industries, companies, organization and machinery, and development of new technologies. For effectiveness and…

Solar and Renewable Power in the UK
By the year 2001, one can see a slight change in the dependence on various sources. For example, use of petroleum fell by 5%, and that of coal fell by 14%. However, the use of natural gas increased to 40% and of primary electricity rose by 1%. Also, 1% of the total energy came from renewable sources and waste (ibid). Energy consumption by fuel 1990-2001 Percentage of energy from different sources…

Renewable Wind Power
When mechanical energy is put to use directly in some equipment such as grinding stones or a pump, it is called a windmill. Instead, when it is converted to electricity for further use, the device is known as wind turbine or wind generator. Wind turbines are mounted at high elevation so as to receive a constant flow of wind power at higher average velocity. Usually, wind turbines need an average…
