bluetooth technology

For example, through Bluetooth technology, one is able to talk on a mobile phone via a wireless headset, update an appointment on a friend’s PDA calendar from personal PDA or operate a computer via a wireless keyboard. Bluetooth enabled devices are equipped with their own complete software framework and protocol stack that enable them to disseminate data to other devices within a close range (Minoli 308). History of Bluetooth Technology The origin of Bluetooth can be traced to 1998 when the Bluetooth Interest Group (SIG) was created and Bluetooth adopted as the official name of the resulting technology. In 1999, Bluetooth Specification 1.0 was released leading to declaration of Bluetooth as the Best of Show Technology by COMDEX (Minoli 308). Shortly after in the year 2000, the first Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, PC card, headset, laptop, and mouse as well as USB dongle prototype were launched at COMDEX. The following year, the Bluetooth SIG Inc was established and followed immediately with the launch of the first hands-free Bluetooth enabled car kit. This was followed by the launch of the first Bluetooth enabled digital camera and the first GPS receiver in 2002. In the same year, the IEEE (Palanivelu and Nakkeeran 180) approved 802.15.1 specification for Bluetooth. ...

Monitoring, tracking, and control technology on aviation industry.
The return of the airline systems to their normal schedules largely depend on the need and emergency of the schedule. For instance, there may be airline systems that require the schedule to get back to their normal plans by the next day. Hence controllers in this regard would cancel the flights or shift the passengers to other carriers, and then have time for the necessary measures (Yu, 1998, p.323). According to Dillingham (1997), e need for monitoring, tracking and control technology in the aviation industry is primarily required for attaining safety and security in the industry. This is…

Engineering vs. Engineering Technology
Engineering technology can be described as being practice-oriented, stressing applications of engineering practice, laboratory experience competencies and engineering design. Looking at these two descriptions, one can note that a potential student will be confused by the overlap in these definitions. Therefore, students end up enrolling in one engineering program only to realize that they wanted to pursue the other. This paper seeks to compare engineering and engineering technology. Comparison First, let us examine the program guide characteristics. Engineering involves innovators while…
