In terms of the website being user-friendly, everything on this website is very easy to locate, with very detailed headings, links, and other appropriate information which a user would expect in a job search site.

Further, once the desired jobs have been identified, the structure by which each job is listed clearly gives detailed job-role expectations which are highlighted so that the user is not left with many questions about what these posted jobs actually entail. When using a website for important searches, it is very important that these sites can be navigated through easily, and careerbuilder definitely gives a rewarding experience. We are often taught that non-verbal communication can be as effective as verbal communication in getting a point across.

People who have lost their jobs or are searching for better opportunities are seeking professional, well-designed websites where they can post their very sensitive and sometimes public information, such as the resume. Entering job search sites which are poorly constructed, have bad fonts, or are just simply difficult to browse through creates user perceptions of lack of quality at this website. This form of non-verbal communication, for other job search sites which have poor design, speaks a clear message that the site does not take its user or its website function seriously.

Careerbuilder, however, gives people looking for other work a feeling of security and the peace of mind in knowing that their sensitive information and frustrations in job searching are being taken seriously by the website owner. Offering straight-forward information which is concise and to the point is another aspect of communication which is highly important. People want to know the specifics when they are looking for job searching, not a great deal of irrelevant background on the company or many biographies about executives at the firm and their personal lives.

Rather, people searching for jobs on these sites want to be able to briefly go through these postings, take what they need from them in terms of whether the job is acceptable, and move on. Careerbuilder.com provides very clear and concise listings and what the job seeker might expect in terms of their own value in terms of salary, and does not provide distracting advertisements or irrelevant job-related info. This is very important to many job seekers and careerbuilder delivers. This site additionally, in terms of communication aspects, gives a very broad view of the national job search environment.

The user can move from one state to another, looking for opportunities in different regions of the country. In these searches, the user can even communicate in real-time with real-world business professionals (when applicable), thus providing positive assistance in networking. People do not want to hear negative concepts when they are job searching or in any other setting where social communication is necessary. This is why people in professional discussions should remain focused on aspects of business professionalism such as teamworking and brainstorming solutions.

Careerbuilder.com offers these options to improve networking, thus making the end user feel as if she or he has options and alternatives during a time where job searching can often be frustrating. From a personal perspective, I advise you to consider, again, using Careerbuilder.com. My personal expectations were to find only a small handful of job postings and simply report on the site for its overall efficiency. However, this is a very broad database and the job variety is quite substantial, which made me personally consider whether it might be time for me to look for other employment due to the many options provided by this site.

The fact that the site has so many options for real-world networking with other professionals, this was one of the most rewarding aspects. Also from a personal viewpoint, I found careerbuilder to have very updated information, with no job postings stemming from a year ago or more. Sometimes when a user is looking for jobs online, the job search websites fail to remove outdated information from a job which has long since been filled. This can create disruption when searching through multiple pages of listings and frustrate the end user.

By the time the user sorts out the dated information, they have already exhausted considerable time and energy into simply looking for a few job options. Careerbuilder.com, however, is much more effective in maintaining their online systems and cleaning out irrelevant information. In relation to my WRTG 394 studies, this website illustrated the importance of quality communication with people, whether face-to-face or in the virtual, online environment. Through this type of online job search, people are going to have to send emails to other business professionals, or communicate through other online means.

It reinforced that when dealing with such a professional and well-serviced website such as careerbuilder.com, professionalism in tone of voice and in how a document is structured is quite important when looking for quality work. We earlier learned the importance of creating a positive impression and it seems that careerbuilder.com even provides the online assistance tools necessary to make a more well-educated resume. The many job tips which promote better written communication were very valuable tools and, again, make this the website of choice when searching for job opportunities online.

There were a couple of problems with the website, one of which involved having to register before being able to search certain job sites. For a person who just wants to browse but does not want to commit to registration, this is a drawback. To improve this, registration should not be mandatory and the user should be able to skip this step in order to progress through all types of job listings. Making the site more effective would be to have the information technology support teams write this out of the software programming to make more job searchers happy with the site.

Despite this very minor problem, the site consistently delivers quality in job searching. Another small drawback to the site is that some companies are allowed to post their jobs without clearly indicating the pay scale which should be expected for each job type. Some people simply do not want to be bothered being interviewed by a company before they even know the pay scale as this would represent a significant waste of time by the job searcher in the long-run. This should be mandatory for all businesses, which are looking for top talent at careerbuilder.

com, to deny further job posting progress to the company posting the position to make sure that pay is always clearly given. For those job searchers without this demand for pay to be listed on every job, this would not be much of a problem and the site is still highly valuable. It is anticipated that if the WRTG 394 team does not look into using this website to explore job possibilities they are missing a very large opportunity to reach a career which best fits their personal values and needs.
