Your Address Here Address of the Addressee Here Appeal to Retake the Final Examination Dear (fill , I am a degree taking (fill subject title) class which is under your leadership. I am writing this letter with an appeal to sit for the final paper again which we recently did on (fill Date). I know that this is a rare request and the circumstances that force me to make it are also rare. I happen to have (fill illness) for quite some time now and I have been going back to my home country for medication and assessment quite often.

Last time the assessment was unfortunately scheduled just before the final examination of your subject. I came back just two weeks before the due date for the paper while in excruciating pain and much agony from the medication and procedures that I underwent. This sole reason made it extremely hard to study and furthermore concentrate on anything. The doctor had advised that I take a one month rest after the assessment but that was not possible as the examination was just around the corner. I sought for remedies like good diet and mild exercises so as to be in good shape as the paper approached.

The doctor did a CT scan and a colonoscopy so as to uncover the progress of the previous medication and I have medical records to attest to this which I will provide. After these assessments I was taken through various exercises and medications while being hospitalized for immediate care. Am required to rest for my mind and body to adjust to the treatment which I am actually taking heed of quite keenly. I am fortunately improving and expecting to fully recover soon. During the examination I was very tired and had read so little worth just a few marks.

I am not also sure about the quality of my answers to the various questions as I was not concentrating as supposed to. This has led me to sincerely doubt my competence at that time to sit for any examination. Due to the medication I was taking I was led to believe that they were remedies enough to avert me from the pain and agony. It seems the doctors on that were not right after all and unfortunate for me to believe solely on their advice despite lack of significant improvement over the two weeks.

Bearing in mind these facts it is my sincere wish and request that you allow me to sit again for the final paper in the near future now that I have improved and have the required energy and peace to concentrate with my studies. I have actually embarked on a thorough revision strategy that will see me through the paper when offered a chance. I am now capable of proving myself as I will have thoroughly prepared just as I would have normally done during the first time were it not for my medical condition.
