My Biography: My name is …….. I was born on ………… in Philippines. My father is a Civil Engineer by profession and my mother is a Nurse. I have ………….. siblings. We are ………… brothers and ………… sisters. Of all my siblings, I am the ………… from top. I migrated from ………….. to US for the purpose of …………….. in the year 2006. It took me about five whole years to get the green card, and I finally became US citizen on 11 August, 2011. My mother is registered in US as a Nurse, but my father’s registration as a Civil Engineer is pending.

I completed the first ……… years of my education in Philippines. I completed my high school studies and graduated in the year 2010. Having born in Philippines and spent the first ………. years of my life there, English happens to be my second language. When I first moved to US, I merely had the basic level of competency in English. Accordingly, I had had a lot of difficulty studying in US in the first two or three years. But now, that more than five years have passed since then, I am fully competent in the use of English in all four areas of reading writing, speaking and listening.

I had always aspired of working in US Navy. I applied for it and luckily got hired in the US Navy on 17 May, 2011. I had several reasons for joining US Navy. It was not simply what I aspired to be in. I have always looked forward to the benefits that I would gain by working in US Navy. The first and foremost benefit that this job gives me is the opportunity to continue my studies since the study expenses are borne by US Navy. By nature, I would call myself optimistic as I hardly have any regrets in life.

I do have harsh experiences in life but my fundamental goal always remains to learn something from them. I reflect upon my experiences of the whole day in the night for full one hour before going to sleep. This tells me what went right, what went wrong, what my mistakes were, and how could I avoid them for good in the future. I generally remain quiet rather than participating in meaningless and rough discussions, though I make sure that I have my say when it is required. My hobbies are watching TV, movies and anime.

I watch all sorts of programs in general and National Geographic documentaries in particular. I am specially fond of learning about wild life. Therefore, I tend not to miss any documentary that is made upon wild life. My brother and I often hang out on weekends for enjoyment and recreation. We like riding the roller coaster, visiting fast food restaurants, and going to the cinema. Occasionally, we play basketball. We often take mom with us while going out. She likes to do the shopping. Traveling happens to be one of her hobbies.

US has given me a lot as a country and I would like to pay it back in terms of hard work.
