The only offences named by the teachers were disorder and impudence because no teacher had courage to state the main accusation behind Paul’s suspension. However, the main charge against Paul is that he had attempted to spank his female teacher while the class was in session. Apparently, this act was intolerable within the institution.
After, Miss Emily’s death, every person attended her interment. Apparently, both men and women had various reasons to attend. The men attended to show respect to a hero they adored while women had the desire to see the inside view of her house (Faulkner 1). However, her servant was the only individual who could access the house.
Apparently, it was her father’s house, but after his death, Emily had to assume full ownership of the house. Emily lived a boring life because she was still single even at thirty.
