Descriptive paragraph Many crawling creatures elicit feelings of nervousness which in the end leads to an individual being afraid of them because they can hide and hence avoid being easily visible. The crawling creature I am most afraid of is a snake. The type of snake or where it is located does not matter. What matters is the fact that it is a snake (or sometimes just looks like a snake) in the sense that it is crawling or slithering and hissing while jutting out its slender tongue in a mocking manner.

This feeling of being afraid of snakes is not in-born and neither did I acquire it from my early childhood years. On the contrary, I was very fond of all creatures including the snakes and other crawling creatures. This was until one of my relatives was bitten by a snake while tending bushes and it incapacitated him for several days until he finally died. The experience which was the first time for me to have such a traumatizing experience and all because of a crawling creature made me start developing nervousness whenever even snakes are mentioned let alone just seeing them.

This nervous feeling soon turned to fear and I have been harboring this fear to date. Some insists that my fear is irrational and especially since the experience was not first-hand while others do not even know the story of my relative but still insist that it is not possible to be that afraid. All in all, I do not care what people say or will even in future say about the fear including a therapist because snakes will always remain to be my mortal enemy.
