The four broad categories of death include; natural causes, accidental deaths, homicide and suicide. Of interest to note of all these categories is a homicide as a cause of death. Homicide can be termed as the taking of a person’s life by another person by means of pre-meditated murder and it is the most ruthless way of terminating human’s life. In his holocaust literature titled Night, Elie Wiesel held, “destruction, is annihilation that only man can provoke, only man can prevent.

” Witnessing the total destruction of another person’s life is horrifying and creates doubts on people’s faith in God and also kills dreams. In retrospect, it teaches people never to ignore and keep quiet on possible attempts to end the life of another on unclear or unacceptable circumstances. Night, by Elie Wiesel, is a Holocaust literature. It is a work about his life experience with his father in the concentration camps of the Nazi in German. In his memoirs captured in Night, he tells how helplessly he observed the beating of his father to passing away.

Wiesel tries to lament in his work the distinctive failure to own up to the depth of the cruelty of which humans are capable of showing others. Invariably, nobody can be able to escape death. Wiesel equips, “man, as long as he lives, is immortal. The narrative on Night serves a crucial rationale of reminding people to cease committing iniquity through awareness and caution. Death has got different implications to both dead and the deceased’s surviving relatives and friends and the nature of experiencing death is even potentially more devastating.

It acts like a massacre, to both the dead and survivor, death is bad. This is because of its untimely nature and the way it is meted, since it deprives of one the ability to enjoy future experiences. Whereas to the living, a prosperous human life involves profound emotional commitments to others, and so carries the possibility of mourning and grief once someone is departed.
