Novel Response Question The book uses leadership that is anchored on serving others. The picture created is based on one who was supposed to be a leader but snatched the opportunity by a click that used the chance in a wrong way. P. 34 “The worst of sleeping out of doors is that one wakes up so dreadfully early. And on waking up he has to stand up because of hard ground that is uncomfortable. Moreover, matters are worse in the realization of nothing but apples for breakfast, and he realizes that he had apples for supper in the initial period of darkness.” The worse situation of the realm has led to ruins. However, somehow despite the hostile environment and state, immediate sense of awe and wonder that is evoked is felt. The members come to realize that they play a vital role individually and corporately to return the land. P. 72 "Shall we head up further for him, to the crags? Theres an Ogre or two and could introduce a Hag to it, up there." "Certainly not," said Caspian. "I should think not, indeed," said Truffle-hunter. "The same variety needs nothing on the minor." Besides the appropriate requirements. The imagination of the sense of unity and responsibility drives them to stand up for change in something real. P. 187 “However, the new bout went well. The shield may have certainly been used well by Peter and make use his feet skillfully. He almost played Tig with Miraz; shifting his ground to keep out of range, making the enemy work.” It is all about taking steps driven by the desire for change in order to attain the destroyed glory. (Lewis) Question 2 The main conflict in the book is leadership tussle between a prince who is fighting for his crown and a false king who has taken the mantle. The prince was dethroned because he was young. Therefore, he was seen as not capable of leading. It narrows down to a battle of only two men who are to determine the fate of the entire world. This conflict is an external conflict that later involves all the members of the land. The conflict is resolved through battle and unity amongst the members of the land ending up in victory. Question 3 The most favorable part is when Miraz is challenged by Peter to a High King duel. Peter become victorious as Miraz had tripped over a tussock and could never get up. Lord Glozelle whom he had earlier insulted in revenge killed him. The Narnians did the consequent battle with the help of Aslan. Finally Caspian is crowned as King of Narnia by Aslan, and this resulted to the door opening at the edge of the cliff. Telmarines who had gathered were give an option to choose to return or live in Narnia their homelands and live forever. One of the earlier members was informed of a better future in Narnia. This part reveals the end of all struggles as long as they are done in search for justice and for a good purpose. It depicts the way wrong is thwarted by wrong in the benefit of those who stand for what is right. It is also essential to realize that the meritorious deed gives honor and unfailing friendship whose support in the benefit of goodness. Question 5 In my favorite quote, Susan Asked, "But what does it implicate?" That moment they became sober to some level." It explains" said Aslan, "that even-though deep magic was known by the Witch, there is a deeper magic which she still did not know. The dawn of time reveals how backwards her general erudition.” How adequacy is the passage to the whole book is because it reveals the existence of supernatural powers that are beyond human control. The power that controls the universe also determines destiny. This is despite the attempt of human to control the universe. This quote reveals how in the use of human or characters ability to manipulate supernatural they end up realizing that there is a limit to their ability. This power upholds the ethical values and stands as a defense for the vulnerable in society. Question 6 The main themes in the story are chivalry and courage. When the writer states that the value of old truth is not lost because of the old nature; he depicted the main theme in the Chronicles. This theme entails that one must not be judgmental of truth and validity of a statement. On this basis is when it was originated. Most of the character had to fight through skepticism for them to accept the existence of Aslan. They also had to accept that the future of Narnia depended in the ancient knowledge. The historical Conquest of England is depicted in a similar way with the conquest of Narnia by theTelmarine. There is no any connection of the novel and English history but the events and; end results are similar to the Saxon’s historical process. It eventually fused into the in a normal way; replica of the ending fusion in the novel to the English people. Question 7 The book ends when Telmarines are provided a way back to their origin in a pirate island. The exit is through a door made of three branches. The Pevenseys go through the door and find themselves at the train station where they were at the book’s beginning. However, before their exit Peter and Susan are talked to by Aslan because their exit to Narnia is irreversible. Back at the station, Edmund remembers he forgot his flashlight: Terminates get a way back to Telmarines via a tree in which Queen Prunaprisma and Glozelle used. This ending was not satisfying because it gave a reversion on time. This will give complexity to the final scenario leaving a lot of unanswered questions on how realistic and morally applicable can it be. Question 8 Prince Caspian is the second among the four chronological books of The Chronicles of Narnia in order. This book tells the story of Susan, Lucy, Edmund and Peter’s second trip to Narnia. They discovered that Miraz the usurper had taken control. The evil ruler had tried to terminate the magic creatures of Narnia. He is unaware of the big number of Narnians hiding in the land’s remote corners. The four children who are pevensive help the Telmarine Prince Caspian who was young to organize an army comprising talking breasts. By the help of Aslan the majestic lion, Narnia is freed once again. Because on anomalies found between Narnians and Earth time, the story takes place in Narnians-year 2303 and earth year 1941. The Chronological rearrangement of stories lessens the impact of the characters in a way. Caspian is the only character seen to appear in all the seven books. This is evident because of a lot of cumbersome jobs setting up to the level of the world and character rule. The main character does the introduction alone as a main character. Question 9 The novel is a sequel of enormous elements of dark moments than the first novel. It is based on the nature of deceit, hunger and greed for power. It has extensive battle scenes that are depicted as metal clanging, bone-crunching and riots of sword-lacing. It has no blood yet characters are pierced. In this line younger viewers may be unsettled by the menacing tone when they notice. The conclusion of the novel through imagery and allegorical storylines with the inclusion of the characters provides moral lessons in the ending. It is essential to give clarity on the message that needs to be portrayed for the easy understanding by the children. Question 12 This book is best rated in number 4 being the best in a scale of one to five. This is because of the techniques and themes that are used in providing a novel that has a lot of teachings and valuable explanation. Narnia explains the passage of time in relation to a day in a world being equal to several weeks. Susan’s problem rivals its protagonist, dealing with the grief, professor hasting and trauma for the death of her entire family in a crash. The screen writer explores how the Pevensies felt on returning to Narnia. This involves the move or change from being kings and queens back to the school children years that were awkward. Caspian had no better fear. By making him a grown-up and Miraz the Lord Regent, the crown prince was made more knowledgeable about the understanding the throne belongs to him. The prince also realized that there are no other Lords though suspicious of Miraz; do not talk to Caspian concerning his birthright. This is seen as unrealistic to the worst point. Caspian is turned into a vengeful man. He fails to avenge the death of his father. The characters are revealed as background of action. This is clear in the way they do what do on the basis of a charge rather than any meaningful personality reason. This can be viewed as a real disappointment. Works Cited Lewis, C. S.
