The novel describes the adventurous life of a group of British boys who come across themselves trapped on a steamy island without supervision. The theme is an endeavor to sketch the imperfection of society back to the faults of human nature. The moral is that the form of a society has to depend on the moral and honest nature of the individual and not on any political structure nevertheless it appears that reasonable or respectable.
A Classic Way of Depicting Human Struggle There are many literary works that depict the struggle for life in the middle of the ocean. Each of them provides the author’s view of human sentiments, motives, and actions. However, most works, especially films, tend to overemphasize emotions or digress from the main theme, thus lose the very essence of the story, that is, to depict the human struggle that is not common to everyone because of the setting.
These adaptations originate from the theoretical framework spelling out natural assortment and sexual selection.
