These are some breakthroughs experienced by developing and emerging countries that have invested much for innovative and scientific design-- like what Iranian government did. The combined knowledge of scientists and engineers to develop nano-materials have truly introduced revolution in science and technology that is viewed positively as something that will reform social ills via reengineering of some major inventions with such unparalleled breakthroughs (Hornyak, Dutta, Tibbals, & Rao, 2008). The latter constitute distinct type of electrical, chemical and optical features, which were customized to produce unique properties. Nanotechnology industry is indeed emerging and will invade markets soon on which experts professed to have utilized nearly US$500 million to 2,600 billion by 2014 (Hornyak, Dutta, Tibbals, & Rao, 2008). This could be source for establishment of nanotech markets and will generate jobs too. This study discussed about the invention and significance of nanotechnology for global market citing specific production and developments under Iranian government as example. The paper will also explore more actions needed conditions that must be created within the domestic and international market to increase or widen nanotech’s numbers of consumer or and to broaden social acceptability of its products. Advanced nations have already explored the use of nanotechnology for agriculture, water and other utility development, for science and technological advancement, and for medical satisfaction Introduction Nanotechnology is recently viewed as a new scientific innovation creating convergence of global industries who shared technological purview about its integrated interdisciplinary paradigm of science and engineering (Roco & Bainbridge, 2001). It has positively influenced all manufacturing companies these days and will redefine our relations in the future, thus, may change the way people live. To cite an example, nanotechnology has transformed what corporations traditionally practiced in running steam engines by adapting electricity-based locomotives and by using the power of information communication technology (ICT) in its intercontinental point of destinations. Indeed advanced countries have commenced exploring possibilities about the optimization of nanotechnology to ease people’s way of life. Problem Statement This paper aims to qualitatively discuss nanotechnology in emerging nations but specifically citing the Iranian endeavor in advancing there technology and inventions. It will also attempt to determine what are the issues and concerns that need to be prioritized as preconditions to advance nanotechnology. What are the steps must be undertaken by business leaders of technology to realize a nanotech-inspired world? Method Used This is a qualitative study about nanotechnology using those experiences from a government with emerging economies. Data that will be utilized are sourced from the secondary materials or resources availed online. Context about how companies advanced nanotechnology will be fleshed from their diverging experiences of developing countries and their perception about the significance of nanotechnology for sustainable development. Findings The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) provided opportunities in technological, science and engineering advancement that has serious positive impact for societal development (The World Bank, 2009). This also inspires researches and studies pertaining to nanoscience and nanotechnology (NSNT) and thus, creating such flair for entrepreneurs. While this advancement has been observed in advanced nations, there is also this corollary attempt to adapt this development in emerging nations of Asia (The World Bank, 2009). The Islamic Republic of Iran for instance has started to develop its national nanotechnology since 2005 and produced significant impact in its domestic economy by pursuing its nanotechnology program (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). The Iranian government saw their potential in marketing nanotech in the global market to generate more wealth for its nation. Their scientists and engineers made their industries more active in international cooperation and collaboration for nanotechnology development (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). In fact, they have created educational programs to pursue and sustain nanotechnology and adopted some policy or public measures to advance this industry. Nowadays, they pursue nanotechnology development for energy, water, health, ecology and nanomaterials development (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). For instance, in water development, they venture on nanotech intended for water purification system. Other products produced so far are air strainers or purifiers and industry-scale quantity carbon nanotubes (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). Currently, Iran has INBN Group of Companies working for nanotechnology. The network’s goal is to nurture cooperative development of nanotech companies with intensive plan for their invention’s marketing, commercialization, investment, branding and more technology development (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). Iran government possessed about 50 companies under INBN working pro-actively for nanotech supports to meet all concerns, challenges, and problems (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). Included as supports are (a) determining targeted credit networks for nanotech companies; (b) industrial and research supports; and, (c) partnership for investment and establishment of facilities (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). All of these developments are integrated in their Future Strategy in 2005 which served as a blueprint for a 10-year plan with a forecasted outcome that Iran will become one of the top 15 countries expert on nanotechnology (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). As part of its strategy, Iran also created its Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) to back the nanotechnological industry (Moinuddin, Rashdi,& Bhutto, 2010). Analysis If Iran will pursue and provide enough resource to advance its innovation for nanotechnology, it’s likely that they will achieve their goals to become one of the leading market of nanotech products. However, like any nations struggling to improve its scientific and technological invention, they need to collaborate with other states in the promotion of these merchandises in the market to invite and create global consumers that will further their research, development and nanotech marketing expansion (Rostami, 2008). The quality of their products can best be understood when knowledge about these inventions are circulated or promoted in the market to ripen its market leverage both in the local and international arcade. They also need to update the business sector about these products to vigorously advertise and create demands from consumers. To sustain its efforts, collaborative study should be undertaken by the industry to strategize supports and funding to advance their innovative inventions. Maybe, to make it responsive to market needs, they must also study about attuning nanotechnology as a response or in contribution for health, energy and water sectors. There are still larger details yet to be explored for nanotechnology market creation. Networking and rigorous promotion of its products will be necessary too to further development and collaboration for more invention. Support too from government is essential. It should be noted that scientific discoveries could only become useful if private and public sector work together to make these products available for consumers in the market. Recommendation Nanotechnology will soon take its place in the market. This could be helpful to sustain and advance technological discovery that can facilitate toward health and ecology-conscious lifestyle. To make this innovation adaptable, the nanotechnology must be introduced in schools too to stimulate awareness about these inventions and their expediency in our very lives. Educating consumers about the significance of nanotechnology in their very lives can facilitate the increase of consumers for these nano-merchandizes. Government must also need to support these developments if it truly needs to resolve environmental, social, Economist must see how nanotechnology could contribute for economic progress and how these could add more optimistic changes in our rapidly evolving society.
