A divided Jane Elliot used the proper method to teach her about discrimination. Her approach to teaching enabled the third graders to embrace diversity and brotherhood based on typical experiments. Her decision to point out a common difference based on eye colors was context specific. Likewise, teaching is an interactive process, and good teachers engage their students in main topics of discussion. Jane Elliot made the perfect example by subjecting her students to learn by experience and make sound decisions.

She later guided them to reflect on the broader picture of the discrimination of the blacks and Indians (Elliot min 13). Her approach engaged students by asking specific questions about discrimination and instilling the idea of equality and goodwill. Likewise, education serves to enhance people’s knowledge about issues in the contemporary world in a shared manner. Jane Elliot achieved this by enabling the children to develop respect for everyone regardless of their color or origin. Her approach is best because it aimed at building a sustainable future generation through upright children.

Hence, she emphasized the value of social cohesion in her lessons. My possible approachIf I were a teacher, I would borrow Elliot’s approach to teaching about human diversity. In addition, I will incorporate the religious views about discrimination and make the children understand that it is against the religious teachings. Most importantly, my approach will introduce an aspect that values the successful people of different backgrounds. In this regards, I will help the children to identify successful world or business leaders who despite their color have prospered by availing relevant research materials (Clauss-Ehlers 56).

The approach will focus to impact knowledge that color difference or origin does not make someone superior or intelligent. Every person has intrinsic values and skills.
