Extract of sample "The Hobbit Is a Book with Short Stories"

The hobbit and dwarves stay afraid in the dark through way until they get exhausted. Slowly they sneak down toward Smaug’s chamber. When Bilbo identifies that the beast is out of sight, the dwarves run out to the treasure in delight, recalling the prosperous periods of old. Arkenstone is one of them, an incomparable stone that Thorin seeks but the hobbit decides to keep it for himself. Bilbo also finds marvelous wear such waistcoat, a wonderfully strong, light metal that is scarcer and more valuable than gold or silver. After the enthusiasm died down, Thorin leads the group through across the mountain and through the main entrance to the source of the River (Tolkien 199).

In the conversation, Thorin speaks convincing his group to test the door for ventilation or die. Thorin adds that the presence of Smaug does not scare him (Tolkien 199). Read More
